20 Courses to Play in 2020 in Scotland

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 18 Feb 2020

Scotland is the spiritual Home of Golf and is blessed with over 500 courses, ranging from the archetypal classic links to picturesque parklands and tree-lined heathery layouts. You could spend a satisfying lifetime ticking each of them off, but to help you pick out just some of the very best places to experience, we have delved into the Golfshake Course Section.

We have over 250,000 independent reviews submitted by the Golfshake Community, rating venues across a range of categories, all from the perspective of the keen, everyday golfer. In this latest chapter of our our new series of articles for this year, each of these featured venues had at least five reviews submitted during 2019, making their Highly Recommended status relevant for this season and beyond.

Including legendary destinations such as St Andrews, Turnberry, Gleneagles, and Carnoustie, you will also discover some lesser known favourites such as Aboyne, Portpatrick, West Kilbride, Crail and Crieff, all of which are worth stopping by during your next adventure throughout Scotland.
