Gleneagles Golf Club
The King's Course, opened in 1919, is a masterpiece of design, which has tested the aristocracy of golf, both professional and amateur. You find out all about it with your first approach shot. If you have driven straight and long from the tee, you will have what looks like a simple pitch to the elevated green. But you must be sure to select the correct club, because the shot is always a little longer than you think, with the wind over the putting surface often stronger than you can feel it from the fairway. And if you do not make the severely sloping green, a bunker yawns twenty feet below.

We played the PGA Centenary with buggies with the full GPS screens, as you pull up at a tee box you have a video flyover of the hole. We were given a VIP escort to be able to start on the 12th tee. We were given some classy Gleneagles tees, a very nice tee bag and a lovely Gleneagles tee marker. We had the course to ourselves and what a absolutely stunning course it is too. Every hole is simply amazing. The Ryder Cup will be brilliant in 2014.
Just watch out though, the halfway house is available to buy snacks but the twix's are £4.20. This is the Beverley Hills of golf courses. The Course

JUst superb. One of the best courses i have ever played. Pity it was raining! The service, hospitality and welcome was fantastic and the food and drink in the Dormy was good value. Give yourself time after your round and have a sauna and power shower in the changing rooms.

Kings Course - a favourite since i walked around it in the 70's following pro-celebrity golf and it didn;t let me down - although i didn;t do it justice.

Kings Course is a brilliant course. £50 each to play. Perfect condition in October 2010. Facilities were undergoing a revamp.

What can I say. Played the Queens course and not the best golf I've ever played but for the sheer experience up there with the best days golf ever.
Greens just about as close to perfection as is possible (in Scotland in November) and the clubhouse and hotel makes this just magical.
If you haven't done it and get the chance don't think twice just go for it.The Course

Played Kings Course yesterday (4/11/07) and was amazed by the course. Still in excellent condition and is a real golfing challenge. I was hitting good drives and still hitting 4/5 irons into most par 4 greens. The course design is fantastic and the views are amazing. Played the Queen's course too, which is fantastic, but is less of a challenge.

What a venue! Three fantastic courses. The Kings is my favourite however my partner prefers the Queens. The PGA Centenary is lovely but long, would recommend a buggy if playing the PGA. This is golf at its finest; the club facilities and services are top class too - would thoroughly recommend a visit to Gleneagles!!

Wow, what a course, I would consider this my favourite course of all time. Have only played the Kings course (three courses on the complex). The views of the surraounding area were stunning, and the course in very good condition when played in the summer of '07
Twilight rates are still fairly expensive, but now I can say I've played Gleneagles, which I would recommend to anybody if they are in the area, and can fund the round. The Course

This place is as good as everyone says. The Kings course I think is excellent, can't speak highly enough about it. I think I hit the ball quite far and this course had me hitting plenty of 4 irons in on the par 4's Don't let the first hole fool you. The queens is a good second course, but has too many par 3's and short par 4's on. Excellent design with the space they obviously didn't have, but I would definitely play the Queens first as anything will struggle to live up to the Kings. We didn't play the PGA, it looked like a good american golf course, if you go to Gleneagles you HAVE to play the Kings. I love thsi place!

What a wonderful golf course. The setting is unique, and the challenge immense. I do not have enough superlatives to express what a great experience I had playing this course, and that even takes into account I played rubbish!
