What the club says: Golf has been played over the links at Gullane for more than 350 years. Today, Gullane Golf Club is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs, mixing the finest tradition with some of the most admired natural links land in the world.
Gullane is blessed with superb turf and a climate that allows all year round golf. Visitors are welcome to play our championship courses which offer dramatic coastal views and a golfing challenge to savour. Laid out over prime seaside land, the three golf courses are simply known by number reflecting their age.
Gullane No. 1 (1884) has a long history of hosting national and international championship golf events, most recently the Local Final Qualifying for the 2013 Open Championship at neighbouring Muirfield.
Gullane No. 2 (1898) was laid out by the legendary Willie Park Jr and has also been used for Open Championship Qualifying as well as the Seniors Open Amateur.
Gullane No. 3 (1910) was also designed by Willie Park Jr. It may be the shortest of the three courses, but it provides a wonderful test based on shot-making skills rather than power.
Gullane offers a unique range of golfing experiences for members and visitors alike, combining a major role in the history of golf in Scotland, great golfing conditions, and a truly spectacular environment. Today, Gullane Golf Club is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs mixing the finest tradition with some of the most admired natural links land in the world.

Spectacular views
Slightly hilly to begin with but once you finish the 3rd you?ll have a fairly flat course. The views from the top over Edinburgh are unbelievable. The course, the staff and the challenge of the course are 2nd to none. If you only play one course in East Lothian make it gullen 2 am FCC you won?t be disappointed.

short but you have to play the shots
cold and windy and immaculate - love this placecold and windy and immaculate - love this place!!!

Good, but not as good as expected....
Warm welcome, but I?m afraid the course (number 2) doesn?t deserve the ranking it gets. Some much better courses locally. Great views but no real stand out holes.

Great links golf
Links golf on two height levels. Once up the hill after the 4th you come out onto a plateau will the most wonderful views across the Firth of Forth and inland to East Lothian. I used the visitors clubhouse not the main one.

Typical Scottish links
One of 3 typical Scottish links at this venue, excellent course, very hilly in parts, scenic and testing. Great condition again rainy but didn't spoil the event. Lovely clubhouse, facilities and and very well stocked shop. Would play this course again in a heart beat.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 16.5)

Need to keep straight off tee as rough is not very forgiving

A great treat to visit
Sad not to play the No.1 course, however No.2 didn't disappoint at all. Interesting holes and cracking views and although I didn't win our comp did hit my 1st eagle. Service was top notch too considering how many people play across the 3 courses.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 20.2)
