Overplayed

Played all 3 courses a few years ago and they were excellent. The routing and scenery obviously remains superb but the quality of tees, fairways an£ greens is poor. I know maintenance happens in April every year and conditions haven’t been ideal but too many unkept tees, lack of decent lies in many areas and greens which simply aren’t conducive to any sort of putting confidence let’s it down. Shame as the site, shop club etc is great.

Mixed feelings.

Played the 3 courses at Gleneagles for the first time. Kings & Queens have a true Scottish feel, stunning scenery, Kings the better of the 2. The PGA was average, feels the purpose built course it is, lacked character. Great facilities & halfway houses but?.the courses were scruffy. Unexpected, poor greens, terrible tee boxes, felt overplayed & needed a rest. Shame.

Probably played wrong time of year

Ok, greens had been treated and a fair bit of GUR so hard to judge how good it really is, beautiful setting, great views and some great holes and a course that I’d play again but at a different time of year but that would be price dependant as it’s not worth what we paid this time purely on the greens condition

Simply stunning

The whole Gleneagles set up is simply stunning and it would have been a joy to play any of the courses. As you would expect the PGA was immaculate and stunning, a great challenge but playable for a mid-handicapper.

Queens Course

Beautiful course and so enjoyable to play. The best of the 3 courses by some way.
All the facilities are top notch and the staff are friendly and attentive. Great bar and lounge area with good beers.

Wow!

Having been lucky enough to have visited Gleneagles with work, we played the Queens in glorious October sunshine. What a course, short but difficult, and the greens were like putting on glass! So challenging, but so enjoyable.
