What the club says: Buddon Course - The Buddon Links Course has been extensively remodelled to make it more enjoyable for the average golfer, although some of the holes would not be out of place on the Championship Course. 18 holes. Par 68. 5921 yards. Links.
Burnside Course - Ideal for golfers looking for slightly less of a challenge, shorter than its big brother and a great introduction to the exciting world of links golf. Its where Ben Hogan qualified from before winning his only Claret Jug in 1953. 18 holes. Par 68. 6020 yards. Links.
Championship Course - Host to the Open seven times, the Championship Course has been voted the top course in Scotland by many of the golfing greats and has been described as Scotland's ultimate golfing Challenge. The 1999 Open captured the public's imagination as some of the game's greatest players floundered, and will always be remembered for Jean van de Velde's disastrous last hole where he let slip a three stoke lead to lose to Paul Lawrie in the play-off. 18 holes. Par 72. 6941 yards. Links.

just back from playing the championship course for the 2nd time.
course in excellent condition again, greens were good condition but a little bit slower than they were the last time i played but ok cos there were some tough pin positions which could have seen a lot of balls running of greens. lol.
seniors open gets played there in 2 or 3 weeks
all said, a great test of golf.
love this course. - Jun 30 2010
Golfshake Team Review
First impressions are strange, faded hotel and a clubhouse that looks like a bomb shelter, not helped by the clean-up operation from the Commonwealth games. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. As for the course, it was superb as expected. From the tee boxes to the greens all was you'd expect from a club of this reputation, immaculate yet beautifully wild. If you can plot your way past the deviously placed bunkers and evil rough there is a score to be had for most levels of golfers, but you really need to concentrate. Once on the greens though they are deceptively quick and very true. I thought I'd played links golf until we hit Carnoustie, this is the real deal.

The Championship Course has hosted seven Open Championships, one Ladies British Open and two Seniors Open making it one of the very few to have done so in the UK. It is one of the three courses used for the annual Dunhill Links, the others being...more

Had a few changes as they set up for the Open but overall still in fantastic condition and as always a great challenge.
A great day weather wise and next to us on the Championship course was none other than Tom Watson! It doesn't get any better than that! Not too long a course, so suits my game.
Can not fault a thing, whole weekend was excellent, course 1st class, all staff friendly. Only downside is I couldn?t stay longer.
A real mix of holes, Links and breeze, tough driving holes and accurate placement needed, followed by a selection of heath before finishing back on the sea. Not what I was expecting, perhaps more location based on the pricing but well worth a visit if taking in the area.

Excellent course, fantastic condition and even better to play it in the high winds!!!

Played the Buddon and the Burnside. Only difference to the Championship Course is the length and the cost!! Fortunately we were signed on by a member which vastly reduced the costs!!
Lucky to have a still day, will be nice once new pro shop is open. Would recommend a visit to anyone.
