What the club says: The moment you step onto Kings Acre it’s clear that you are about to play a very fine golf course. Lovingly owned and developed by the local King family over two generations, ours is a beautiful parkland course in magnificent countryside. It is the vision of top Scottish designer Graham Webster and as you make your way around its wonderful 18 holes you’ll see how he has made clever use of the land’s natural contours. Strategically placed water hazards and over 50 bunkers lead you to large, undulating championship quality greens.

Underfoot, the natural sandy-based soil guarantees excellent playability all year round.

Created for players of every standard it is as popular with European Tour pros as it is with occasional golfers.

Kings Acre’s is an inspiring setting where anyone can enjoy a superbly stimulating and challenging round of golf.

played today was really looking forward to playing from what i hade seen on the website and dident dissapoint i really enjoyed everything about this golf course not a bad thing to say about it i prefered the back 9 the 15 was my fav hole driving from an elevated tee down to a dog leg its a par 5 will be easy enough to get a birdie if you can keep the ball straight off the tea fairways were pritty tight aswell and not a problem out of low lip bunkers there is one par 3 where you have to hit over a wall aswell and the 18 you pritty much have to drive over water - Feb 28 2012

Course in good condition. Greens good pace with decent roll. As I play with members I will play again. But I do enjoy the challenge from the course

Excellent course. Very attractive course lined with pine and spruce; interesting and well kept greens. Hole 15 is, although difficult, very interesting. If it has heavily rained, I would check before playing as some tee boxes/areas felt they could be boggy if there was heavy rain.

Fantastic course
This is a gem of a course. The elevated 15th tee can more often than not be very frustrating due to the very tall trees on either side lower down on the fairway, if your tee shot goes in then you can forget about finding your ball ????( several of mine are in left and right ) lol. Not an easy course but not too difficult either. Worth more than one visit.

Really enjoys a course in superb condition, tees, fairways and greens. Not a long course but gives you plenty to thin about, very warm welcome in the pro shop, only downside is ?39 for a weekend round, maybe worth 25-30 at best.

Recently had a day out here with 28 roudy glaswegians and was a blast. Very easy to organise as every time a phoned no matter who I spoke too was always very helpful. And not a bad price either. We arrived 1hr30 before first tee and were received very well. Course was in absolutely pristine condition and found it extremely entertaining to play as found it was a wee thinker. It did help having the buggy a must say the boys who never were knackerd by the time they got round. What let this club down was the state of the shower facility's and our 2 course meal after the round. The showers are a absolute joke having to time whn to jump in a out. You are ither getting scalded or freezing ur golf balls off. As for the meal well for me it was a shambles. Paid extra to upgrade to a 2 course and after wish a had stuck with soap n sandwich. Had a choice of fish, mac n cheese and pie, chips n beans and every 1 was terrible not sure wht went wrong if they cooked it whn we were on the course n jus heated when we got back but it was disgusting. Total shame aswell because everything else up to tht point had been fantastic. Will definitely be goin bk jus maybe not with as many people????????

This is a lovely setting just south of Edinburgh. It is a modern course with fairly wide fairways - but there is only a short short rough and then wilderness where your chances of finding your ball are as remote as a hole in one. Minor criticism is the state of the greens where the surface is often a little substandard. The greens are also challenging because of multiple slopes on many. Lovely views in places.

Modern stylish clubhouse and situated just off the bypass.
