Played for the second time.course played well only fault it for the lack of sand in the bunkers.

Something quite special
FANTASTIC LAYOUT course was in great condition greens were fast and very. Consistent.Hospitality and pro shop were also very good well worth a visit if you are in the area or looking for an outing.

Really enjoyed it
This course is fun. It has a great mix of holes, 5 Par 3s and 4 Par 5s. No two holes on the course are the same. Good condition and it was very quiet so we flew round.Very good value for money
The facility is impressive and we received a warm welcome.

great course put it on your to play list
great course, had trouble trying to use my voucher but eventually got a tee time that suited. On my list for next year as an outing.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 98 Handicap: 25.8)

Excellent course. Very attractive course lined with pine and spruce; interesting and well kept greens. Hole 15 is, although difficult, very interesting. If it has heavily rained, I would check before playing as some tee boxes/areas felt they could be boggy if there was heavy rain.

Fantastic course
This is a gem of a course. The elevated 15th tee can more often than not be very frustrating due to the very tall trees on either side lower down on the fairway, if your tee shot goes in then you can forget about finding your ball ????( several of mine are in left and right ) lol. Not an easy course but not too difficult either. Worth more than one visit.Reviewer Rating

Much had changed since last played course. Many of the planted trees are now maturing and provide an added dimension to many of the tee shots. Fabulous view from 15th tee, to large landing area, although the initial view is only of the shot thru the pines.Really enjoyed our day. Greens were good, course looked in great nick, only issue was with sand in bunkers,due to wet weather they were as hard as granite. Playing partner suggested stay out of bunkers.

played today was really looking forward to playing from what i hade seen on the website and dident dissapoint i really enjoyed everything about this golf course not a bad thing to say about it i prefered the back 9 the 15 was my fav hole driving from an elevated tee down to a dog leg its a par 5 will be easy enough to get a birdie if you can keep the ball straight off the tea fairways were pritty tight aswell and not a problem out of low lip bunkers there is one par 3 where you have to hit over a wall aswell and the 18 you pritty much have to drive over water

By far the best course i have played so far. Everything about it is quality to me. The layout,greens,setting,facilitys. Even the driving range is of top quality and well maintained. If i lived near i would love to become a member ;-)

one of my local courses but the first time I have played it in years. Difficult conditions, cold wet and windy but the course played superbly, it has grown in really well since I was last here and with the trees getting taller, it plays a bit longer. Great course and wonderful facilities to go with it.

Lovely drive up to the clubhouse, greeted by friendly staff and a warm atmosphere.
Course plays fantastic even with a good bit of rain we have had the last few weeks.
Easy to manage you're way around hole by hole with direction signs where needed.
Will definitely be coming back to this one.

Testing Parkland Challenge

great course not easy by a long shot

An undemanding course on the outskirts of Edinburgh, easily reached from the bypass, Kings Acre isn't as tough as it might be with wide fairways allowing you to keep the ball in play and shoot for the greens. It's of a length where you'd expect to reach most greens in regulation The par 5s are definite birdie opportunities. The layout of two nines is varied enough to keep you interested although the "down and round holes" 14 to 17 are a bit quirky. 18 is the best driving challenge, with a 200 yard carry to pass the pond on the left and bunkering down the right for the hydrophobics. Decent clubhouse and food and a nice spot to take lunch on a sunny day.
