Brilliant course

A brilliant course on the coast with fantastic views across the Firth to Bass Rock. The layout is superb, the condition is excellent and the clubhouse is perfectly situated for the best views. Very welcoming staff and a must play course in the area, Greens were not at their best which was a shame.

Got on as a members guestso well worth the £15 fee. Course in good condition but greens need a bit of work which is more due to the dry spell and then the rain.
Clubhouse seems to close early so no chance of a beer after which is a shame

Worth visiting for the views

Not as famous/well known as some of the neighbouring courses, but I returned after playing around 6 years ago & was reminded what a decent course this is. Always seeing the water, a nice mix of holes with the main elevation changes experienced on 1 and 18.

Stunning views from this often overlooked course. Greens and fairways not as good as other courses along this "golf coast", but the variety of holes and views make this slightly more interesting than those.

Fantastic Scottish links

A fantastic and hilly cliffside Scottish links. Tight drives, accurate pitches and chips and lovely greens. Extremely picturesque on the cliff top with views to die for. Lovely clubhouse and shop, very friendly staff and tasty food. The rain couldn't spoil this day.

The Course was in great condition, the second shot on the first is one club than you think, there are a few blind shots, which are fun.
The pro shop were not the most hospitable, more interested in going home, but the course and the views made up for that.

Great course. Definately one for your must play list.

Plenty of room to play forgiving even when you wander off your drive. A few questionable pars, may need to recalculate course, par 3 @ 200yds. really need a good dig.

A hidden gem

After a fairly benign start to the round this course opens up to some great holes with views that much more expensive golf clubs would kill for. If up in this part of the world would recommend a visit.

The poor relation in East Lothian

Neither links nor parkland and vaguely clifftop, The Glen is very much the poor-man's choice in East Lothian: the municipal course at Winterfield is better value. I recommend saving up to play the properly top-class tracks such as Gullane and North Berwick not to mention either of the Archerfield courses. The Glen is the Vauxhall Astra of East Lothian - not very reliable, not st all attractive but cheap and dowdy.
