What the club says: Burntisland Golf House Club possesses a character quite unlike that of any other course in Fife, perched as it is high above the sea and incorporating to great effect an industrial legacy of abandoned quarries.
At 5993 yards it is not long but even so is remarkable for the small area into which it has been squeezed. To make the most of the available land a few holes crisscross and a number of greens lie in the path of subsequent tees. A degree of alertness and care is therefore required if you are an unfamiliar visitor.

Quirky Hidden Gem
For anyone visiting Fife Coast, either on the way to, or coming back from St Andrews, this little course is well worth a visit. A challenging quirky little course, with some incredible views along the way. Very friendly little club house, inviting, with exceptional service and good fare for a golf clubhouse.Even if your golf is bad, just enjoy the views.

Dougal
Played an open here recently nice course with some quirky holes and lovely views, experience spoiled completely by cored and sanded greens which were horrendous. Not good enough, at least let people know the state of the greens before playing.

Another gem in Fife
Absolute fantastic course, if your in the area this place must be put on your list to play. Layout is cracking and a good test for all abilities, the stand out is the 10th. Will visit again.

brilliant course
weather was a let down today, very windy then the rain started. this caused its own problems what do you expect in October. This course has a test for every level. This would be amazing on a dry day. made feel very welcome by staff and members.

Worth the travel
This is my third visit to this course well worth the travel from South AyrshireGreens were fantastic very consistent and fast.
Overall condition was very good hospitality and food were also great after the game.

Heard great things about Burntisland and it didn?t disappoint! Very quirky course that demands a lot of imagination but is certainly a shotmakers paradise! Course in amazing condition, so quick! Loved playing here, can?t wait to return sometime soon!

Well worth the visit
My third trip to this course and have enjoyed every one mated all the better by using the free Bunkered voucher.Course condition and layout great for all standards of golf. Club house and hospitality was of an equal high standard.

Amazing views, entertaining parkland course
Enjoyable, relatively striaghtforward course with great views across the Forth to Edinburgh and the bridges. Lush fairways and well-maintained greens provide a very pleasant test of target golf with mostly short par 4s protected by rolling fairways.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 87 Handicap: 16.4)

Amazing course
Weather was pretty nasty for a few gays before I played here, but was pleasantly surprised, the course was in great condition. You are made feel vey welcome, and none of the party could fault it. A challenge of any level.

amazing course

Excellent, unique
Built around a number of old shale quarries, Dodhead offers a real challenge to golfers of all abilities. A range of length on the par 3s and 4s adds interest, as do the sloping greens. Above all, the views are simply spectacular: Edinburgh, the 3 bridges over the River Forth and a backdrop of 'The Binn', a volcanic plug to the north of the town, are all superb.Course is very well presented and maintained. Staff in the very well stocked Pro shop very helpful, food and drink excellent. A great day out.

A great day
We arrived early and had some breakfast rolls (sausage, egg, bacon) which were just what we needed to start the day. All fairly priced. One of my friend's had his putter re-gripped in the pro-shop whilst we had our breakfast. Great job.We played as a 4 ball and got held up a few times by a couple of 2 balls in front, but it didn't bother us.
First time playing Burntisland and I played it to my handicap (22), could have been much lower if not for some typical 8's on my card.
A great day, sun was shining wind was gusty, the course played great. Nice greens.
I look forward to coming back to Burntisland in the future, loved it.
