What the club says: Balnagask (Nigg Bay) Golf Club is a challenging coastal course with many hills, situated within a nature conservation area on the small Balnagask Headland which is packed with at least 18 historical and archaeological sites including the lighthouse built in 1833 and designed by Robert Stevenson. The adjacent 9 hole pitch and putt is a good choice for beginners or those wanting a quick game. All holes are par 3, but due to the hilly location are still quite challenging and good for practising your short game.

Great course with Fantastic views
The course has been much busier post lockdown but the condition of the course is still maintained at a very high standard, particularly the greens, so thanks to all of the green keepers.A hilly course with lots of hidden greens and due to its location there is always wind often significant to factor in to your game. Fantastic views over beach, harbour city and beyond to Deeside.
Couse is usually dry and very clean due to wind and lack of trees.
Definitely worth a visit.

Worth A Visit for the views aone
First of all thanks to the green keepers and all the staff who do a fantastic job and are all friendly and helpful. The greens are in tip top condition as are the fairways. It's a hilly course with several blind holes to make life more difficult, but it does have nice wide fairways. The wind is usually a challenge given the proximty to the sea, but the payback is generally a dry course that is not over busy.
There are some fantastic views all around the course. You can check progress on the new harbour extension from the 10th tee and enjoy arguably the best view on the course from the 18th tee where you can look our over tha harbour, the beach, the city and on on out to Deeside.
Well woth a visit.

Silly
On most holes, just aim at the lighthouse! A lot of blind shots, a lot of sloping fairways. Kings Links nearby is a better course.

Exceptionally well maintained
Despite the long dry spell the course is green and in superb condition. The greenkeepers are always in evidence and they do a fantastic job with everyone very friendly. The course is hilly with a number of blind holes and the wind off the sea is usually an added challenge. A bonus of playing the course is the all round views of the city, the harbour, the sea and the beach.
Well worth a visit
