What the club says: Running on the Aberdeen beach front, golf has been played in this area since 1661.
Set between the city and the sea and using the natural undulating terrain of the dunes, along with the varying wind conditions, Kings Links offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers keen to experience authentic links golf.
The current Kings Links course was laid out in 1872 and it is a classic links course so characteristic of Scotland’s east coast. Think big dunes, very quick greens and lots of bunkers. Described as “golf in the raw”, watch out if the wind is blowing! The current course layout is 6442 yards Par 71

Nice course.
A good course for a change, playing partner has some mobility issues and the links is a fairly flat course with a couple of small slopes mid way round. As a council member the course is good value although there are no facilities if you are not affiliated with one of the clubs there. Soft drinks can be bought from the starters box and there is a toilet there.Reviewer Rating

Great Links Course
A great courses, greene very well maintained and quick. Fairways generous if you are accurate, the par 3?s challenging though a few more would be good. Overall a great course for any level of golferReviewer Rating

Round at KIng`s Links
First round in a long time at the Links, course was in reasonable condition in spite of the obvious problems due to the lockdown. Greens were a bit rough, not too much grass coverage and a bit bobbly but certainly not the worst I have played this year. Will not be the last time I play here this year, and the course and my play can only improve!(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20.4)

Played on 9th August 2019. To be quite frank £19 for a links public course in great condition is simply amazing. Greenkeeping staff should be proud. (The more illustrious links courses nearby, Murcar, Cruden Bay, etc at over £100 a round + caddy and/or buggy+ buggy will simply not beat this for value for money). With a buggy on King's Links for £20 that's less than £30 each. (If you live there it's just £37 for monthly sports ticket featuring 4 public golf course...with a buggy at the Links that's less than £20 for a game a week, with a buggy). And with golf less popular now it's quiet. What's not to like?

First round of the year and the course was in great shape as the club championship had been played just days before. Didn`t expect too much of myself and just enjoyed what turned out to be a very decent day all round. The course was excellent and the weather, especially the wind, stayed as mild as it can be, allowing for a good challenge. It was the first time I have played a municipal course in a long time and the price of £21 was a bit of a shock, but the condition of the course made it value for money, but only just!(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 83 Handicap: 20.1)
