Good course

The course has a few interesting holes in terms of design, particularly the opening 4-5 holes. However, towards the end of the course many holes are squeezed together and the layout is confusing. It is a good place to practice your long game as some holes are tricky.
The condition is nothing to celebrate, the greens are hardly worth putting on as the ball bounces unpredictably and the fairways are quite hairy. The very cheap price does unfortunately not make up for this and I will not be returning any time soon.

Council course, its turn up, play and go home. Greens struggling to get up to scratch, expect better later in the year

For a council operated course, the greens are comparable to the best of courses, the fairways well maintained. The rough has been cut back making it a more generous course, for the money, less than a £1 a hole, this is a gem sometimes not recognised
