What the club says: St Andrews The Home Of Golf is a golfing Mecca for every golfer and realises the ultimate dream for golfers worldwide. From the iconic Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course to Tom Morris's masterful architecture on the New Course, St Andrews Links has developed over 600 years. The three championship courses; the Old Course, New Course and Jubilee Course run parallel to each other along the famous West Sands of St Andrews. Nestled on the opposite side of the Links are the Eden, Strathtyrum courses and the only nine hole course, the Balgove. A five minute drive from the town is the seventh course, the award winning Castle Course which offers dramatic views over St Andrews from its spectacular cliff top location.

A different observation

I?ve been lucky enough to visits several times and more recently, played some of the local courses outside of St. Andrews links. All I can say is only then do you realise how good the hospitality you get in all the St Andrews clubhouses is. Nowhere comes close to the quality of food, price and service. The courses speak for themselves.

Wow

The Strathtrum Course. This is the cheapest 18 hole course at the home of golf.
This is a must play course and it is great value for money. A good challenge for all handicaps and I will play this layout again. But for me the Eden course is next on my list at St Andrews.

Great to have played the old course, it was in very good condition and all the staff (which there were lots of them) were very friendly and helpful. Through 7 & 11 it is a bit congested due to the layout. The bunkers are a great challenge and the first tee is nerve racking.

Best Golfing Experience Ever!

What an amazing experience. Standing on the 1st tee is a feeling I will never ever forget. What a fun course even though the winds were 30 mph+. The town oozes golf out of every pore, everyone is here for one thing. I will be back. One visit is not enough.

Got to play this on a mid teens sunny with only light winds day. Was a truly great experience. The course is absolutely stunning start to finish. The views on some holes are the best you’ll find. The greens alone are worth the visit. Played well which always helps. Can imagine this course beating you up during a winter medal round ! If you hit a wide right don’t even both looking. Hit the fairways and you’ll enjoy you’re day. Must play in Scotland

Fantastic

All the St Andrews courses are perfection, but try and play when not windy ruins your score. The greens are beautifully kept. The off course facilities are first class won't find better anywhere else

Always a terrific trip

Played the Castle Course for the first time. Forget any reviews you read about it being too hard/greens are ridiculous etc etc. This is a top course, giving golfers a real test (especially if the weather turns bad, which it did for us!). The rough can be brutal, the greens do test you and the wind can upset your swing, but for the views, hospitality & golfing test, it?s magnificent.
