Golfshake Golf Course Awards 2018

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 11 Jan 2019

Updated: 2022 Golfshake Golf Course Awards

Those familiar with Golfshake will be aware that our comprehensive Course Section includes over 235,000 independent reviews submitted by regular golfers. Providing a rich portal and resource for members and visitors, thousands of venues across the United Kingdom and further afield have been rated on a variety of criteria, reflecting the expectations of those golfers, hopefully delivering a useful service for those searching for new courses to experience, with the strongest reviewed being granted Highly Recommended status on Golfshake.

We have delved into the reviews submitted during the past 15 months to identify the most popular and top rated courses and venues with Golfshake Members, which is a credit to them, particularly with survey data illustrating that online reviews are becoming increasingly influential and relevant in all industries.

Looking at highlights, iconic Ryder Cup venue The Belfry surpassed 1,000 ratings, while The Berkshire features considerably, as do Archerfield in East Lothian and St George's Hill. Lesser known Scottish courses such as Pitlochry and Stirling were highly regarded, and the likes of Hurtmore, Toot Hill and Westerham were popular with Members.

Nothing is definitive, but these have all earned the right to be recognised. Don't forget, when submitting a round on the Golfshake Score Tracker, you can submit a review for the course there, but you can enter a review anytime in the Course Section, which could help see your favourite golf course feature in these rankings in future.

So, without further ado, here is the Golfshake Golf Course Awards for 2018.
