What the club says: This 18 hole pay and play course, which opened in 1992 was originally designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. The 5,530 yards of golf course provides challenges all the way through the 18 holes you play. Several lakes provide plenty of interest along the way and the well placed bunkers catch the errant shots that all golfers commit at times!

Lovely Bank Holiday Golf
Round was very busy due to Bank Holiday, but managed to get through a couple of groups and played with a couple of members further on. Really great set up and course in great condition. My type of Golf Club.Reviewer Rating

Very nice course
Excellent fairways and greens, it is obvious from my many games at this course the owners are spending money on the course which is reflected on its condition - which is very goodReviewer Rating

Lovely course, quite short
Nice course, in good condition; not impeccable but very cheap. Only one Par 5. A couple of short Par 4's. Nice for a group of mixed ability golfers. Nice food and friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

Good round with friends
Course was in great condition to be fair. My only criticism is the holes run very close to each other and hear FORE shouted a lot. Luckily we got out early and would insist on an early tee time if we played again. Can imagine it’s carnage, maybe a little dangerous ifyou have a course full.Reviewer Rating

Good challenge
Nice course albeit a bit shorter than most and so most par 4's reachable in two. Greens very quick and difficult to read and rest of course also in good condition. One issue is that the holes are quite close together and so it's quite easy to be hit by a wayward shot from a neighbouring hole (happened to one of our players today).Reviewer Rating

Bunker drainage inadequate (puddles, solid and compacted sand)
Fairways and greens in brilliant condition considering recent weather.
Some cruel pin placement on the slopes of the greens, both for approaching and putting.

Great all year course
Whilst other courses in the area are either closed or only have 9 holes that are playable, Hurtmore is fully open and the fairways and greens are exceptional for this time of year. A definite must if you want to play golf at this time of the year.Reviewer Rating

This free draining course is very good for winter golf and I've played here quite alot over winter and found the course to be in good condition every time. The only downside is every time I have played the play has been very slow. Having a starter Marshall on the first tee would really help to solve this problem. The most recent round took over 4 hours for a course that is only 4500 yards from the whites.Reviewer Rating
