What the club says: This 18 hole pay and play course, which opened in 1992 was originally designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. The 5,530 yards of golf course provides challenges all the way through the 18 holes you play. Several lakes provide plenty of interest along the way and the well placed bunkers catch the errant shots that all golfers commit at times!

Great all year course

Whilst other courses in the area are either closed or only have 9 holes that are playable, Hurtmore is fully open and the fairways and greens are exceptional for this time of year. A definite must if you want to play golf at this time of the year.

The greens for this time of year were very good, the fairways however left a bit to be desired !!

This free draining course is very good for winter golf and I've played here quite alot over winter and found the course to be in good condition every time. The only downside is every time I have played the play has been very slow. Having a starter Marshall on the first tee would really help to solve this problem. The most recent round took over 4 hours for a course that is only 4500 yards from the whites.

Great, forgiving course but challenging enough! Wide fairways, short holes balanced with water hazards to keep your game sharp.

Mr

Overall the course is in very good condition bearing in mind how much rain we had, some of the bunkers were GUR, more annoying was that other players had not repaired their pitch marks on the greens. The course is quite open and blustery on windy days.

Very difficult conditions with frozen ground. Unable to get tees in and the ball bounced on impact up 10 to 15 foot.

As usual the course had held up well after all the rain we have had. Some of the bunkers and water hazards were frozen , which one of the guys took advantage of on the 16th par 3.. There was only two holes with mats on the tees.

Best winter course on the planet, dries out after a lot of rain very quickly and even if the greens are wet they are still very quick.

Exceptional

Played this course on 15th Nov, all other courses were either closed or had restrictions. The course was in amazing condition, it was like playing in summer. Firm fairways and greens, I take my hat off to the ground keepers.

Friendly club, clubhouse functional, fairways in good condition considering the amount of rain lately. Bunkers ok and greens still fast and challenging. Very enjoyable place to play.
