Top Reviewed Golf Courses of 2018

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 14 Dec 2018

Regular visitors to Golfshake will be aware that our Course Section features hundreds of thousands of independent reviews submitted by Members. These are from everyday, passionate golfers who assess their perspective of a venue based on a variety of criteria, including Course Layout, Condition, Hospitality, Value for Money, and Pace of Play to deliver an overall rating reflecting their expectations. Users who enter their scores and stats on the Golfshake Score Tracker will automatically have the option to add a review of the course they have played, but these can also be entered separately by searching through the Course Section, which features over 30,000 golf courses in the engine.

But what is the importance of posting a review? Past Golfshake Surveys have discovered that 80% of golfers reported that they read reviews to help them find new courses to play, with 74% stating that those ratings had at times helped them to decide whether to play a new course or not. Similar findings have been revealed in more general industries, noting how vital online reviews can be to the habits of consumers.

Reviewing courses and clubs on Golfshake could be a welcome boost in recognition, potentially granting them Highly Recommended status, making them more visible to golfers looking for places to experience on the Golfshake Tee Time Search and Interactive Map. So, in future, when submitting your round on the Score Tracker, consider the supporting the venue if you had a positive experience, which could be valuable to them.

Just recently, we have been highlighting popular venues (with at least ten ratings) that reviewed highly on Golfshake during the past 18 months across the regions of the United Kingdom with a series of articles. Now, to close out the year, we have brought them together into one place for you, celebrating those venues, which could be an informative guide for you to identify places to visit in 2019.
