Paradise

Have always wanted to play this course and it did not disappoint. I used hired clubs from the course and although they were Taylor Mades, it was not the same as having my own. The course is simply stunning and the views are unbelievable. You struggle to remember that you are here to play golf and not just take pictures all day.
The course is challenging and a true test. The last hole has a choice of 2 greens which is truely unique.
It wasn’t cheap, but how often will I have the chance to play this beauty. Don’t miss the chance.

What a course, views are stunning and staff are amazing
Club hire and buggy hire are a little over priced but a once in a lifetime chance worth taking

Awesome holiday golf!

What an experience! The views from the boat ride across to Iles aux cerfs are stunning, only surpassed by the views from some of the holes on the course. Free golf if you stay at Long beach resort, you need to hire a buggy and I hired clubs, all in £70. The clubs for hire are Taylor made stealth irons and woods and you have regular and stiff shaft options. The course is immaculate and tight. This is not a bombers course, like its architect, Bernard Langer, this is a course you need to think about each shot. You are either in play or reloading. The par 5s 9 and 11 are great holes, with stunning scenery. 9 is a great risk/reward 2nd shot over a large lake. 11 has one of the best views in golf from the green. I played off the white tees and there are some thrilling tee shots, particularly on the back 9. I play off 1 handicap and knocked it round in 75. It's a tricky course but not overly long, hit good shots you will be rewarded with some birdies!
Only criticism is the friendliness of the bar staff. Something the club need to look at. If in Mauritius, you gave to play this place, brilliant set up and stunning views!

Beautiful, unique course

Incredible 19 hole course in Mauritius on its own island practically dedicated to golf. Beautiful views across the course and from the tee boxes, but you're still away from the beaches so there are no spectators and you can focus on the golf. The 18th and 19th holes are from the same tee box where you have to clear about 140 yards of mangroves initially, but completely different holes thereafter. Unlimited free rounds included when staying at Long Beach Hotel with free practice balls made it even more special. The staff were super friendly. The fairways and greens were in amazing condition. Buggies were a bit steep at 1250 Mauritian Rupees (about £25) per person, which was strange that they didn't charge per buggy, but they did include GPS via a touch screen where you could also order food and drinks. Surprisingly quiet for a late Sunday morning round. It seemed that only tourists were playing from the hotels. Overall a magnificent course and would definitely play again.

Enjoyed the round on this island course

Really enjoyed round.
They have a clubhouse, buggies, hire clubs available on the island. You can reach it by staying at the Anahita resort {which I didn't think was a very good hotel} or there must be numerous other ferries there because the island's beaches were full of tourists.
My gripe was these tourists were wandering round on the course when we got furthest from the clubhouse. There was a guard but he hid in the bushes and clearly didn't want to do his job.

Enjoyed

This course is on an island.
Note that the mainland course will tell you to hire clubs with them and take them over on the boat. However, they are available over here (although cant confirm quality or price: suggest you email) as they are overpriced on the adjacent Anahita course at £50 at time of writing for poor quality and damaged clubs
Enjoyed course. Problems with beach users wandering around on the course in the afternoon. They have guards on buggies, but they hide out of the way rather than confront the problem they are there to do which was the biggest disappointment of the day.

Beautiful golf course

Fantastic golf course situated on an island off the coast of Mauritius. Tough course which requires accuracy and thinking your way around the course. Not overly long but challenging off the yellows, suspect completely different off whites.

Fantastic course on its on little island. Playing there makes you feel like a pro as you don’t touch your clubs from the transport boat until warm up or 1st tee. Views were amazing and the course is in excellent condition, easily the best I’ve ever witnessed..

Holiday

Playing here free as part of our holiday at long beach I think price would be about £150 a round so lot more than I would ever pay at home.
The course is great but for that money it should be, ball dose not run like in England so having to try and play different to how I play at home so not the best of scores for my three rounds I have played , playing to about 23 not 13

A unique, challenging golf course

A must-play, very well maintained course, that is very challenging due to its tight fairways. Wonderful views out to sea from a number of holes.

Stunning

Golfshake Team ReviewFrom the boat to the island to the 19th hole this place is stunning.
I played from the white tee's and some of the carry's are fairly challenging so would recommend the yellow tees for the shorter hitters.
The fairways are tight in places, lined by either trees or water so again if you are wayward from the tee think about irons for placement.
The greens were fairly 'fluffy' to the eye but rolled really well.
If you are holidaying in Mauritius give this place a go, you wont be disappointed.

really nice course, very narrow and you have to put your ball in the right places or you will struggle as i did. the staff were very accommodating. I would play again if the prices were slight less.

There was some ground works taking place during our round which did spoil it slightly

Excellent course and facilities...course layout is impressive and forces you to think about every shot. From the whites, with the exception of a few holes, it doesn't play particularly long though you need to carry your drive over 210 yards in most instances...and you need to be straight...

Off the Blacks, a completely different course...some holes don't change materially though you are forced to hit your driver more often than not and again it needs to be straight.

Greens are tight in most instances and anything slightly off target will require a good chip at best and penalties at worst...

For a coast line course, the bunkers need work (expect soft white sand around the greens but in many instances faced wet, cludgy sand)...

Overall a fantastic course...
