Very dry and running but windy
Course in good condition. However some of the greens slow and none of them really fast. A few blemishes on greens but not surprising considering the dry spell. The windy was gusting making it difficult at times to find the fairway or the greens.Reviewer Rating

Steve
Good course with some challenging holes, friendly staff, all it needs for a 10 is more sand in the bunkers (or for me not to go in them).Reviewer Rating

Still good value
Twilight fees have gone up a fair bit but the course is in good condition and the greens excellent given the spring we had. The course presents a good challenge, particularly if windy and views from some tees are spectacular (you can see Canary Wharf and the Shard on a good day). The bar is also good with TV and wide selection of drinksReviewer Rating

Off the fairway is thick and plenty of clover for your ball to hide in

What a shame
This should be a fun place to play golf - all the rough has been hacked down so there's no jeopardy if you open your shoulders and give it a rip. The layout has a few interesting holes and the undulating greens make you think about your putts. But, the reception staff (they've gone beyond rude and are now positively hostile to visitors) and the glacial pace of play (4hrs 45mins midweek) absolutely ruin the experience. I promised not to come back here a few years ago, but once or twice a year I'm persuaded against my better judgement to give it another chance. It never gets any better. More fool me for thinking that it might because I gave them £33 of my hard-earned English pounds.Reviewer Rating
