Lovely course in great condition

Lovely inland links course that is a pleasure to play. Fairways are forgiving and many holes have tight doglegs so you really have to think about your club selection and shot position to put you in a good chance of scoring low.
Considering the cost of the round (?25.00) the course is in excellent condition. Greens are a little hard so you have to consider chip and run play unless you are able to generate lots of spin.
The club house facilities are OK with a small pro-shop selling the essentials (Balls, gloves etc.) The real advantage is having the driving range attached. It's an excellent facility with Toptracer installed to 9/10 of the bays.
Overall this is a great course that I would be more than happy to play again.

Slow .....

Great course, great condition. Shop's not up to much unfortunately but the rest of the facilities are pretty sharp. One massive problem though, the pace of play. We turned up for our booked game to find someone else checking in on the hoof, he was slotted in because I heard the reception say, "its a quiet day". If that was a quiet day then I'd hate to be there when it was busy, not far short of 5 hours to play the course, waited on every single tee, including the first tee, sometimes for 10 mins+. Totally lost any rythm by the end of the course and at one point there were three groups waiting on one tee. Its unacceptable and the course desperately desperately needs a marshall pushing the players along. Would play there again but not for some time, pushed to recommend it because of the waiting time but it is a good course.

an enjoying challenge

I've played here 5 times on my return to the game.
Great access from the M25/A20. Enough parking. Not used the shop due to regulations.
Bar & food all good, but had to ask a playing partner to order food and drinks as I don't use the app the need.
Tees fairways & greens in very good order.
well worth a visit

Course conditions very good however on the last 3 visits to course the Pace of play was very slow. Standing on the 2nd hole for over 20 minute with 3 groups behind us. Overall time of round over 4 hours and 45 minutes. Normal round hear is around 3 hours 45 minutes
No marshals managing the course.

Very Good Course

The centre has excellent practice facilities, pro shop was a bit limited in apparel. The course was good to play, the rough was ROUGH, so you need to able to place your golf ball on the fairway to achieve a good score, that's golf I guess, lol.

Course has many blind shots due to the tall mounds (apparently this is where the soil for the Eurotunnel went!) on both sides of the fairways... once you have played the course a couple of times you would know where you could cut corners and take a chance... the day we played was slow so shouldn't count against the club but having a marshall about to ensure play is moving along nicely when societies are about would be a huge benefit.

Wonderful course protected by the wind

Built from the Channel tunnel excavated earth, the inland Liks course is protected as it is always windy here and also by the numerous blind 2nd/3rd shots to 90 degree dog legs.

Excellent

This is my home club so perhaps I'm biased, but it really is in great condition. Style as an inland links with only one tree worthy of the name. The course is defended by some very interesting greens and the wind that constantly blows.
Fairways are lush at the moment, the greens are just quick enough.
There's more practice options than you can shake a stick at. (Academy 9 hole par three course, top tracer fitted range. putting green / chipping green, practice bunker area, three excellent Professionals.)
The staff really are all great and the food is top notch and served in generous portions.

Nice day's golf.

Not too long, not too short, just about right, Rolling fairways with lots of ball above/below feet, and downhill/uphill lies to test you! Absence of trees a bonus (for me anyways). And not too difficult rough. Some very interesting dog legs, with right angle turns to test your course management skills. All in all a very nice day's golf.
