One of the few inland course that are almost completely dry

As always , one of the few courses in the South East that is dry and almost no signs of water after all that has been thrown at it. Greens in good condition but variable in speeds. TEe mainly winter ones which is not surprising. Very busy and so quite slow. IS that the players, the wind or looking for balls...difficult to tell.

Still in great nick

Pedham has survived the recent weather very well. A few days closed since December and a couple of carry only days. Clearly there's not the amount of run you usually get here, but the course is fully playable.

Fantastic course when all others are too wet - drains well and the wind dries it out. Greens are currently in excellent condition. Tricky course in the wind and not for the faint-hearted

Fantastic course

Course in very good condition and always drains well, good value for money and a good test of a true handicap.

Hidden gem just south of the Thames

Pedham is an inland lynx-styled course with no wooded areas. Lots of open fairways with almost bowling-lane esque grass verges. Ideal for keeping an eye on your ball.

Lovely Par 3 course

Course was in good condition. Some players hadn't been repairing pitch marks. Bunkers were all raked. Being a windy day the course was a real challenge.

One dry day and the course has drained

The last week has been very wet but after 24 hours of dry weather Pedham is running true. Says it all.

Excellent course for all weathers

Great course. Playable all year round. Only ever not been able to play here because of laying snow (even then we got 6 holes in!).
Inland links style course, only two trees/bushes in play. Being completely open to the elements, the wind is the challenge, as can be the length on some holes. The really long rough is cut back far enough to be avoided, but say goodbye to your ball if you find it. Keep it straight (ish) and there are pars and birdies to be had.
Greens always in good condition and roll well.
Very popular course, especially at weekends. Even more so when other local course are shut due to wet weather.
Excellent range, with Pro-tracer bays. Putting and chipping practice greens and practice bunker. For more short / medium game practice, there's also an excellent par three course. (Definitely NOT a pitch and putt.) Three good Pro's are available if you need a lesson.
Always a warm welcome here, the Clubhouse is comfortable enough and the food is always excellent. Only point where Pedham isn't really up to scratch is the changing rooms and showers.

One of my favourites

Just off junction 3 of the M25, Pedham Place is an unexpected gem. Although the noise of the motorway is present, and the carpark is under buzzing electric pilons, once you are out on the course you could be at a seaside links. Great views across Kent, scarcely a tree to impede your ball, and good fairways and greens in all weather. I particularly like the elevated tee on the 12th. The course is quite tricky with lots of blind shots and greens with challenging slopes, but there is usually plenty of room off the tee and in good weather the ball rolls for miles. I recommend it.

Great range and putting/chipping facilities, greens always in good condition. Fairways a little on the burnt side but can't really be helped due to the weather. Always relatively simple tee shots with the sloped to help a wayward shot back into play but in current conditions you can be easily punished around the greens with poor chipping and putting.

Great course to play if the weather is good, but as it is very open (like a links course) it can be very windy and wet.

Refreshments??

Played in 35°c scorching heat, all water used up by 9th hole, would have been nice to have a buggy with drinks to meet golfers on the 10th tee box to prevent dehydration, maybe something the club should look into especially as there is zero shade on this links design course and its a 1700yrd return trip from 10th tee to clubhouse.
