An interesting course as more ;like a links course than the normal parkland courses in the area. Despite pouring rain, course in great condition. Fairways were firm giving good distance, greens in excellent condition and drained well.

A nice day for golf

The number of dog legs and blind shots will always affect my opinion of this course. Still a little 'soul less' with the majority of fairways edged by mounds and few trees. but the greens were in very good condition.

Bald fairways and messy tees, not a lot of care taken here, bunkers were like rocks.
Putting green at front clearly states no chipping from yet handful of people chipping in from it, poorly signed tee positions and that was after the first tee ! Get some signs up people

Very dry on fairways

Not surprising for a Links course, the fairways were very dry but the greens a little too lush. Bunker, some had sand others did not. Tees were OK but a lot of broken tees. Would help to have a collector ,i.i. bin for disused tees.

Decent condition

Played Pedham end of July and condition of course was fair after a long dry spell. Fairways generally not too dry or brown. Greens were a little slow, probably not cut to protect them from the sun so understandable. Range is very good. Clubhouse looked fine but we did not use it after a late finish.

My home course, so I'm a bit biased. But...it's always in good condition. It's very rarely closed as it drains very well.
The facilities are wide ranging. Top tracer bays, chipping and putting greens. Practise bunker area. Excellent 9 hole Academy Course that's brilliant for your short game / approach play.
Add to that some lovely staff and great food.

A lovely course, greens in perfect condition. Very challenging for me playing off 32, but the wde faraways offered me a chance. Some of the par threes ate long, well it is a championship course, so even the low handicap golfers will have a challenge. Lovely stuff, and a well stocked bar, and the food is nice. All in all had a lovely round there

Full disclosure.....I'm the Senior Section Captain at PPGC.
Course is in great condition given the weather we've had. Green are probably slow compared to many but they are being protected to ensure they don't burn out.
The Centre has everything a golfer could want. Top Tracer range bays. Bunker practice area. Chipping and putting greens and 4 Pros to help your game. Including one that does Aim Point.
If you like golf you'll like PPGC

Utilitarian & Fit for Purpose

When it’s wet everywhere else this is the place to come. It’s fairly open, the M25 noise washes over you & the holes apart from raised greens & doglegs & bunkers don’t have much to take your eye or focus off the game. Plenty of casual water but a very playable course & the greens were above acceptable. I enjoyed too the 18th with the lights from Docklands & the City in the distance & shimmering across the other side of the pond on that hole. A good large driving range & practice areas there’s little that’s been missed. Food was very acceptable but don’t believe them when they say portions are modest. Too generous for me. So plenty of plus points & im sure I’ll be back

With tales of waterlogged courses all around the area, Pedham is open and playable. Fairways are wet but ok. Greens are still excellent.
It's an excellent set up with all the practice areas you could wish for. Putting green, Chipping green. Bunker area. Range with Top Tracer. Add to that some really good grub and what's not to loke a lot.
