This is a very old and established club with lots of big trees, If you are a straight hitter, you will be fine, but found it a bit pricey for quite a tricky course.

Narrow, bland land with 4 greens plus 4 tees in a row hugging the A2. You're never from an ugly metal boundary fence. There are long walks past holes to get to other holes (surely this isn't Braid's routing) and it's always been unwelcoming and hard to get on. Make sure you practice your punch-outs beforehand.

The course did not flow and there was alot of walking to and fro between holes. The greens were not watered and did not receive the ball well. Overall I did not think that this course was value for money at ?55 for a visitor. The clubhouse was nice and comfortable and the staff were very good.

A small friendly golf within the M25

First visit and received a very warm welcome from all the staff, plus numerous members we passed by. It is a short course, which suits me and quite narrow fairways, but the rough is very forgiving indeed. The tee and greens were in great condition. The signage was being changed so I was very pleased to be with a member, and the clubhouse looked very smart inside. A great price for a guest, but maybe too much for a visitor (?) ... overall an enjoyable afternoon and hopefully a return (if invited).

Not a favourite

Several holes separated from the very busy A2 by only a hedge. Complicated layout with long walks from green to tee. Not a lot of variety. There are more enjoyable courses with more reasonable green fees if you're prepared to travel outside the M25.

It only became clear that visitors were not admitted upon arrival so we were very pleased to get this rare opportunity to play a new to us Braid course. It was enjoyable enough & the 10th & 11th were excellent signature holes but otherwise slightly more samey than I?d have expected but & the A2 traffic bordering several holes couldn't have been in Braid?s thoughts nevertheless we were very pleased to have had the opportunity to play what I'm sure is a one off.
