Holes 4, 8, 11, 12, 15 are great tests of strategy.
Generally in good condition, some greens and tee boxes (especially 17 & 18) could do with some TLC.
Played on a Thursday, course was nearly empty.

Decent parkland condition course across valley
The course was in a decent condition, bunkers and fairways were great but let down by half a dozen poor greens and the rest were average. Pretty course with generous fairways and played early so pace was good.Reviewer Rating

Not in good condition
Cheap but as a previous player sadi, greens are awful. Holed out but grass rings all over and very bumpy. Tees bare and lots of tee ends around. Ground really hard. Very difficult to gage what ball will do on approach and on greensReviewer Rating

What a difference a year makes
At the beginning of 2024 the course was about to close. We went for a final game and the course was very muddy but the greens were good. In April the course was saved. We played in June and the course was getting better with defined lines for fairways. So we come back in Dec after lots of rain but the mud isn't there. Certainly no standing water but the greens, need a cut, and rolling. However, on the whole, the course is playable.Reviewer Rating

A good test
Not many easy flat lies. A good test of ability - and stamina for the walkers. A shame there is no driving range now, hopefully it will be resurrected, fair putting green.Reviewer Rating

Open again under new ownership
Much better than last time. Was a muddy field before. Now defined fairways and tees in better condition but need a bit more seed on some whilst other need a good cut. Greens, definitely need some TLC. too many bare patches and on other cracking up. Definitely worth another visit and at £18 can't really go wrong.Reviewer Rating

Nice long course quite hilly
We played midweek and ?24 for the round, and the course was in a great condition apart from the numerous white flowers on the fairway which made it difficult to find your balls. Bar and shop were good, especially after a very long walk in the sun ... took over 4.5 hours.Reviewer Rating

Well worth a visit
I had not played this course in 20 years. I had low expectations which were much exceeded. The greens were in good condition - bunkers ok. Yes this place needs some investment on some tee boxes etc. £16 Senior rate after noon is great value.Reviewer Rating

Still in recievership
Course in need of maintenance. Greens are the only thing being maintained except for the occassional cut. No definition to fairways and plenty of worm casats make it akward to play on "clean" lies. Will need lots of TLC when get a buyer. However cost of round dirt cheap as a result of little work. Always a tricky longish course made difficult by conditions.Reviewer Rating

Literally the only ones daft enough to think it would be worthwhile playing today. The expected rain was a drizzle, no more. The course was a little boggy in places but overall it was worth the effort.Reviewer Rating
