Another chance to play this lovely gem of course in Nottingham. The visit to Hollinwell is truly superb and a proper golfing test for all involved.

The course is set in a beatiful location and is a difficult course technically and physically. It was great to play such a tough test but suited to low handicappers in my view. Nevertheless we had a great day.

A great course made even better by the heathland regeneration. Must play. Condition gets better and better coupled with some great changes to design. Overall fantastic course presentation, level of detail used by course staff, pace of greens, challenging layout

Not for the struggling golfer! Wayward shots punished every time. If you can't guarantee a straight shot, you will need plenty of balls.

I was really impressed with the layout, condition, and type of course (heathland). The design and condition of the course were first-class, and the facilities and organisation were excellent. The greens were in great condition and well-maintained. Overall, I thought it was great value for the price.

Great course, pretty but challenging. The second cut can be lethal to get out of cleanly if you you are too greedy. Greens were suffering a little from changeable weather and were not upto their usual standard. However, the day was fantastic made more so by the club allocating a specific member to welcome our group and provide useful hints and tips about the course. Definitely recommend.

One of the best I've played by far
We managed to obtain a day playing pass on a lovely sunny autumn day which allowed us to complete two rounds and enjoy a spot of socially distanced lunch at this glorious course. The setting in the autumn coloured background is amazing and the layout is challenging but playable. Some strong par fours off the whites and the par 3's need some proper golf shots to land as well. If you haven't played it, try to although its a very exclusive course and a day pass will set you back ?130 which isn't bad when you see that one round is ?110.Reviewer Rating

Lovely Layout
Firstly it is a great layout with some fantastic individual holes, the condition the day my group played was disappointing and the pace of play was ridiculously slow. Food was ok, pro shop fantastic. I would definitely return but prefer a couple of the other local courses to hear.Reviewer Rating

Lovely Course, definitely worth a visit
Good front nine and a stunning back nine which reminded me of Sunningdale New. If the front nine was of equal quality and beauty it would be up there with the very best in Surrey/Berkshire(Round played: Mar 2020 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.3)

Wow, what a course, get there !
We won a charity auction prize to travel and play this top 100 course and arrived on a fantastically sunny afternoon in September to see its splendour. We were not disappointed with any aspect of the course, tees and greens immaculate and fairways in lovely condition. The changing background to each hole is very appealing and the tightness and difficulty of some of the back nine, make it a real thinkers course. I am a 12 handicapper and I found it challenging on the front nine but played the back nine 4 over, so finished very happy. Pro shop staff excellent, clubhouse staff excellent. Definitely in my top ten courses ever and I will be back to conquer that front nine one day !Reviewer Rating

Good Day
2nd time I have played Notts Hollinwell and each time I have loved the site it has some great holes, however the greens on both occasions now have not lived up to the layout, I know it isnt everything but it does make a difference. One of the best courses I have played. You need to be fairly straight off the tee to avoid the heather. The greens and everything about the course is in top condition.

Top Course. A must to play!
