Good course, pity about everything else
Course was everything it was made up to be. Steeped in history the challenge was as good as the legends that have been told.However, the clubhouse is stuffy, service is reluctant and the pro shop is ludicrously expensive! If they’d get off their backsides and at least greet you as you came in through the door then that’d be a start. Miserable.
If the course wasn’t as good as it was there would be no reason to go back.

Played all the best course in the notts area recently many a joy but I was left disappointed with the overall condition of the course although it had some great holes and a warm welcome in the old clubhouse

Great Course Poor Greens

Lovely Layout
Firstly it is a great layout with some fantastic individual holes, the condition the day my group played was disappointing and the pace of play was ridiculously slow. Food was ok, pro shop fantastic. I would definitely return but prefer a couple of the other local courses to hear.Reviewer Rating

Good Day
2nd time I have played Notts Hollinwell and each time I have loved the site it has some great holes, however the greens on both occasions now have not lived up to the layout, I know it isnt everything but it does make a difference. Lovely Pro Shop and an old Clubhouse with great character.Reviewer Rating

The course is set in a beatiful location and is a difficult course technically and physically. It was great to play such a tough test but suited to low handicappers in my view. Nevertheless we had a great day.

Not for the struggling golfer! Wayward shots punished every time. If you can't guarantee a straight shot, you will need plenty of balls.

Lovely Course, definitely worth a visit
Good front nine and a stunning back nine which reminded me of Sunningdale New. If the front nine was of equal quality and beauty it would be up there with the very best in Surrey/Berkshire(Round played: Mar 2020 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.3)
