Hidden Gem In EssexThe course was in excellent condition with superb greens running hard and fast, the bar and catering staff was excellent on the day.

Really great courseThis was my first time playing here and as a high handicapper who hasn't played that many courses, this felt like a grown-up course.
The course looks beautiful, the greens fast, difficult (for me) but fun.
I am playing here again in a tournament (my first) on Friday and I am buzzing to have another go.
I would most definitley reccomened playing this course, the best I have played yet.
Super Essex courseLovely course with great views & some very challenging holes.
Superb courseHad an enjoyable round at Toot Hill yesterday. The course is in great condition and is a real challenge. Only downside is they no longer sell strokesavers and there are a few holes where you play blind shots which makes it difficult for club selection for people who don?t know the course.
Excellent courseGreat venue. Well kept
One of the best aroundProbably one of the best greens I?ve played on. Well worth a visit. 10/10

A Pure Gem of a course in the Essex countryside. Not to be missed. What can I say. If you get a chance to play Toot Hill, don't miss out. It is a fantastic course. The layout is excellent and the holes are challenging and demanding, and give you the opportunity to play every club in your bag. For a windy day in March, the conditions were tough, but what made the course tougher was the greens, with some fantastically shaped and contoured that made even 4 putting a distinct possibility. The course had drained fantastically after the overnight rain, so was in great condition. There are some stunning holes on the course with the 9th, 12th,15th and 18th the pick of them for me. The 12th being a short par 3 to an island green that can play as a 9-iron or as much as a 5-iron depending on the strength and direction of the wind. A lot can be said for short par-4's, but the 8th at around 260 yards, slightly uphill, with cross bunkers at around 220 yards is a great risk and reward hole. My advice don't take it lightly as it bites back !!!. The old style rustic barn type clubhouse is a lovely, pleasant place to discuss the round and what you would and could have done better. The food and hospitality, even in the spike bar, are first class and the pro-shop has enough equipment to ensure you have everything you need for your round. All in all, I thoroughly recommend Toot Hill and will definitely be returning in the summer, just to see how many golf balls will be swallowed up the lake around the 12th !!! Play Toot Hill, you will not be disappointed.
Exceptional course, in excellent conditionSuperb greens and great set up
