Why have you not played these golf courses?
What is the one golf course you haven't played that you most desire to one day experience? Every golfer will have their own answer, some more outlandish and unlikely than others (Augusta National is probably not going to happen, unfortunately), but there are considerably more accessible places dotted around that you perhaps haven't considered before. Until now, that is.
Looking at reviews submitted into Golfshake in recent years, we have identified another batch of venues that rate extremely positively (over a sustained period of time) among the everyday golfers who are part of this community.
None of the places listed below are going to prominently feature on published bucket lists - they are not the famous names that everyone tirelessly talks about - but they nonetheless deliver outstanding quality that we're confident will also impress you should a tee time there be in your future.
The question (and conclusion is) if you haven't yet played these golf courses - why not? You absolutely should target to put that right during this season and beyond.
Let's now take a glance at exactly where keen golfers are directing you towards.

Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk
Golfshake Rating: 4.41
Average Rating 2023/2024/2025: 4.31
Review Comment: "Depending on the wind, this place can be a real challenge, that said, if you catch it on a calm day you can put a good score together. Fairly forgiving off the tee, despite the water that comes into play on a few holes. But your short game will need to stand up well around here. True links style bunkers and run off areas to negotiate. Greens always running true and fast. Some of the views, including the Martello tower, are also fantastic. Must play."
