Pure Links Experience.
Fantastic links course that has been there for a long, long time. It's a thing of beauty from the Martello towers that guard the coastal side of the course to the pure greens and fast firm fairways. Book a round and smile all the way round. The members and staff will make you feel at home and the fish and chips were spectacular. Thank you Felixstowe Ferry GC. See you in August.Reviewer Rating

The Best Links
Love love love Felixstowe Ferry Golf ClubSuffolk's only links, and one of the oldest in the UK.
Depending on the wind, this place can be a real challenge, that said, if you catch it on a calm day you can put a good score together.
Fairly forgiving off the tee, despite the water that comes into play on a few holes. But your short game will need to stand up well around here. True links style bunkers and run off areas to negotiate.
Greens always running true and fast. Some of the views, including the Martello tower are also fantastic.
Must play.

Felixstowe - a fine and fair links
2nd visit here in past 3 years and a lovely experience it is all round. Good clubhouse food, course in nice condition especially considering dry weather. Layout encourages a good bit of risk and reward with some short par 4's and gettable par 5's if you have your A-game. The holes back into the wind will then test you and par will be more than acceptable on holes like 16 (long par 3) and 17 (long par 4) Look forward to taking it on again next year.Reviewer Rating

Being a links course, you are likely to experience some wind - but what I love about Felixstowe is that while it can play tough, its always fair. You will have an equal amount of holes down and into the wind.
With 3 par 5's in 4 holes around the turn, some will get sucked into thinking you can go nuts, but 2 of them are low stroke indexes so a good strategy is needed.
A nice mix of par 3's too and some good fun holes after you cross the road on the back 9.
17th is superb and its some stunning scenes when you putt out on the 18th.
As with a lot of links courses, will depend on the rough as to how forgiving it is off the tee, but the fairly large greens are maybe easier to hit than a tradition parkland course, but you may not fancy some of the undulating putts.
Such a fun place to play golf.

Enjoyable links course
Two different challenges, a stream and road (out of bounds) run through the front nine, on the back nine greens are undulating and quick.Reviewer Rating

lovely course ( in the sun!)
Played mid March so we were a bit concerned about weather given its position next to the Sea, However it was a nice day but a stiff breeze picked up as we went round and that really hits you on the inward holes , makes it a tough finish. In very good condition given the recent rain and is a fair test of all golfers

Great Lynx Challenge
Played here four of five times now, and each time is a different challenge. Wind the wind coming off the coast is really is a game of two half’s. Enjoyed every round though, and look forward to playing it again next year. Only problem we had was we planned to eat after our round in the clubhouse, ( this was October) but apparently the kitchen had lost the gas supply, so no hot food.Reviewer Rating

Great Links Course
Love playing Felixstowe Ferry. The course is tough, made more difficult by the conditions you can face there - but that's what you want from a links course I suppose.
Some of the par 5's are reachable for those bigger hitters and there is a great variety of shorter and longer par 3's and 4's.
You'll have fun plotting your way around some of the hazards around the course and the stretch along the coast and the Martello tower are as good as it gets.
Cracking place to play golf.

One of the best links courses i have ever played fantastic condition one of the aspects is that standing on the first t you can see the whole course on a clear sunny day if its windy its a tough test of golf ive played it quite a few times and to be honest ive never played it with no wind , greens are tough to read with undulating changes fairways are quite wide but the rough is tough to find your ball deep pot bunkers protect greens and also some along fairways club house is friendly and the food has always been a good qualityReviewer Rating

Seaside sensation
Such an enjoyable layout. Greens were in great condition, fairways heavily trodden but pretty good considering how popular and lack of rain in run up to round. Very hospitable club. If only I hadn't messed up the 2x par 5s would have had the perfect day! Still left something to go back and address. Fabulous all round experience regardless.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 10.1)
