What The Club Says

Seaford Head Golf Course is a beautiful, downland, municipal course with magnificent views of the sea and the South Downs. The course gives a lovely blend of downland and links style golf, described by many as an undulating links course.

Hilly course, short but a bit wet

Played shorter than its 5502 yds off the yellows. Mainly due to mats. Can see how difficult this course can be in the summer and when the wind blow, which , most of the time it will. Greens look good but very soft and long at the moment so slow and no roll.

Always in good condition and reasonably priced .I would like to see more rubbish bins on the course though, perhaps one on every other tee box .

For membership if you join midstream the club pro does not offer pro rata deals therefore costing you more for less. Also the club is separate from the course in its ownership. Seaford Town Council own and collect income from the club. This makes any complaints difficult as the club’s hands are tied by the Town Councils directorship which bears no relevance to inclusiveness and fairness. So new members be guarded in this respect. It’s a shame because the course itself has improved over the past few years.

We explained in depth our our membership works and you were happy with the winter membership. Then the next day came back in, extremely aggressively and demanded we do a membership, we have never done, because you assumed it from an old advert. We were nothing but polite to you and gave you a full refund as you were not happy. Witnessed by 3 other people in the shop. We are extremely inclusive and even offer free membership to under 18's as well as some of the best value golf in the south of England.

The start is a bit tricky if you don't know where you are going but the course was in good condition with splendid views especially on the back 9 and closing holes.

Played for the first time, greens were in superb condition considering the dry spell. Fairways bone dry to be expected. Tee boxes could do with a bit of TLC, but generally for the price the course is astounding value.

Reasonable condition

Course was in reasonable condition considering the weather thus far this year. Greens, although slow were true. Weather was dry but the windchill !!!
