What The Club Says
Seaford Golf Club was founded in 1887 and moved to its present Blatchington location in 1907. The Club is one of the best downland courses in the south of England with its glorious views of the Sussex Downs on one side and the English Channel on the other.
Designed in 1907 by J H Taylor, five times Open champion, the downland course has stood the test of time. There has been one major revision to the layout in 1911 otherwise it has remained unchanged apart from additional length and some modifications to bunkers. Being set high overlooking the English Channel the view to the east is the start of the Seven Sisters and to the west the Port of Newhaven. Inland there are views across the Downs and to the walking territory of the South Downs way.

Lovely course wide fairways, which you'll need if the wind is strong, well laid out and easy to navigate around, some holes are deceptively long. Course was in very good condition with fast greens.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
The course was in good condition, although it wasn't easy to escape the semi. Unfortunately we were a 4 ball, and were persistently chased by two balls and singletons, which interrupted the flow of our game. After allowing 4 through, it began to get annoying, and probably annoyed the singleton who caught us after 15 holes, as we didn't let him through.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course - I hope to re-visit
Really nice course with lots of variety - some difficult rough, a constant wind as you are high up and not far from the coast but good views too. Nice reception in pro shop and clubhouse, friendly staff and nice food. Only negative comment - we went out out on a Sunday afternoon, (two three balls), behind a ladies match. The fact that they are ladies might not matter but these ladies were the slowest (& poorest) golfers on the planet - they were looking for lost balls 30 yards from the ladies tee - if they found it they couldn't get it out. Took five hours and not one group could play though. Really bad manners and I look forward to playing another time withoutr such slow players.Reviewer Rating
