I really wanted to enjoy this course today and went off first. I decided to walk it. Due to the time I was battling the sprinklers which was a challenge. The course is something else. Very well maintained and you would think it was private. Lots of ground staff out maintaining it. When it's raining in December this is the kind of course and weather you miss. Some of the holes you wont see anywhere else. The 5th Par 5 requires a launch downwards on to the fairway, the 12th Par 3 requires a launch uphill on to the green and the 18th is a Par 5 launched down from the top of the cliffs. The clubhouse afterwards is called The View and has views of the 1st and 18th. The dog walkers were no problem, although there was a curler laid near the 4th, believed to be from a dog.

Course in good condition the course is being played from the 5th hole as the first due to a new clubhouse beening built but this is not a proplem to the golf ( New Clubhouse is expected to be open about October ? )

Excellent Scenic Course

One of my favourite courses. Not long, but tricky in places, especially if they let the rough grow in the summer. There is a fairly serious climb from the 11th to the 13th tee, so that has to be taken into consideration. It is worth the climb though, with lovely views of the cliffs along the 14th fairway, and the 330 foot drop at the 18th tee.

From my experience it appears that the greens are always in great condition, and there's a newish clubhouse that's great for resting up after the round. Well worth a trip.

Spectacular cliff top setting. Nice warm up net small putting green. New clubhouse. Course is an old fashioned down land style, a little reminiscent of Newquay or Bamburgh. Very exposed, steep walk. All well signed and neatly set up. Got round in just 3 and a half hours despite a few 4 balls in front. Rough very sensible, fairways good. Greens were very slow just 6.5 on my stimpmeter, but early in the year after a wet winter. Several blind shots and a completely blind par 3, not my favourite type of hole.
Excellent value, it's rating on here is about right. It's not much of a challenge, less than 6,000 off the whites, so several nearly driveable par 4's. If they could squeeze a few more yards out of it I would think it could be top 500 which is very impressive for a public course. The views put it ahead of Seaford blatchington in my book, but that is definitely the tougher test of golf.

Course was in good condition however weather was very windy and wet especially 13 to 18 at top of cliffs . Lower part of the course fairways were very good but beware of dog mess on parts of the course and greens were very sandy on lower part of course . Hole 13 onwards greens where very good ..

Short course, but always in great condition and with awesome views. The 18th has probably one of the best tees to play from in the country, simply for the view.

There are a couple of climbs, so beware: This course is not easily walked.
