What the club says: Situated a short drive from Milton Keynes, Dunstable, Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard, our challenging course is 18 holes, par and S.S.S. 72 and measures 6,612 yards from the competition tees. We were founded in 1989 and open for play in 1991. Whilst the golf course is long, many mature trees line the fairways which are generous, and each hole is complimented by excellent greens. The golf course has been designed with ample space between holes. A natural brook runs through the course, which creates some challenging water features and the experience is a good test of golf whatever your handicap.

Keeps getting better
I play here a couple of times per year on average and it keeps getting better. The fairways were quite hard and running which was good, but the greens were a little too hard for my liking, but we had just had a number of days of 30c+ temperatures, having said that they were extremely true to putt on and pretty darn quick.
The course is well laid out and fairly easy to negotiate and there is a good variety of holes in the 18. Each time I play it there are a couple of holes that beat me up, but as they are never the same holes it must be me and not the course.
The clubhouse is nice and very friendly and there are good practise areas and a lovely patio to spread out on. Quite a good pro-shop as well and everyone seemed very friendly.
It seems that more drainage has been put in on a couple of holes which suffered in winter so that should sort out any water issues.
Very appealing course to play and it is a good test of golf, but won't eat all your golf balls up. - Jun 29 2017

Golf Course Reviews for Aylesbury Vale Golf Club
Some long par 4s, but nothing scary. Fairly wide off the tee. Course design is not very sophisticated. Still, a pleasant place to play.
Following warm weather the small greens are rock solid and not at all receptive; not a single pitch mark was made by our fourball all day. Putts rolled nicely.

Greens were excellent.
Food and drink was very good too in the bar afterwards.

Really nice course, friendly members will play here again.
Would have given a higher rating but little disappointed that there was no food when we got there after a long drive. I understand a new chef starts soon though and that?s good to hear.
