Keeps getting better
I play here a couple of times per year on average and it keeps getting better. The fairways were quite hard and running which was good, but the greens were a little too hard for my liking, but we had just had a number of days of 30c+ temperatures, having said that they were extremely true to putt on and pretty darn quick. The course is well laid out and fairly easy to negotiate and there is a good variety of holes in the 18. Each time I play it there are a couple of holes that beat me up, but as they are never the same holes it must be me and not the course.
The clubhouse is nice and very friendly and there are good practise areas and a lovely patio to spread out on. Quite a good pro-shop as well and everyone seemed very friendly.
It seems that more drainage has been put in on a couple of holes which suffered in winter so that should sort out any water issues.
Very appealing course to play and it is a good test of golf, but won't eat all your golf balls up.

Greens are in good nick but the Tee's are poor. Wide fairways with some interesting holes where you can get caught out.

The greens were really very good and the fairways likewise apart from 1 small patch on one where ther was still rain water but that was all. Quite a lot of the bunkers were GUR as the recent heavy rain was lying in many.
The staff were really pleasant and accomodating.

Clearly a course looked after by golfers. Greens all in good condition, some lovely variety in the holes and some nice challenges. Good time had by all.

Played in early April, which is probably too early in the year to be too critical. Greens were reasonably quick and rolling quite true. Bunkers were well maintained and with good soft sand that you could get a club through (I know because I had occasion to use them). Fairways seemed reasonable, but difficult to see where they ended for "preferred lies" - very short rough at this time, so with the course still reasonably open, easy to score well.

Lovely Fairways and faster greens than most
I was pleasantly surprised by this course - my first time here and the first thing that got my attention were the grass range facilities. Very few clubs offer grass facilities anymore. Teeing off the fairways were cut in a crisscross fashion and were lovely to play off of. The greens were quicker than most courses I've played this season and the pin positions were challenging too!The layout is great IMO, a challenging course all around, a 200 yd Par-3 will test your, uhm, balls, and a right-angle, dog-legged Par-4 certainly challenged me in terms of club choice (as well as a stiff 30km gust throughout)
Will definitely return soon!
