25 Must Play Golf Courses This Winter

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 30 Oct 2020

The clocks have turned back and the days are shorter, woolly hats are in vogue, and golfers are regularly drying their waterproofs, it can only mean one thing; winter is here.

Playing golf during these darker months isn't for everyone, but for those who desire fresh air and exercise when it's most needed, there can be much to enjoy about this time of year.

However, for the best winter golf experience, you need to know where to play. Typically, links and heathland venues are ideal for underfoot conditions due to their natural drainage, but there are parkland layouts that offer excellent playability.

Studying the Golfshake Course Section, we want to help you find courses to play this winter. Analysing reviews submitted during November, December, January and February, we pick out 25 Must Play Golf Courses that have received at least eight unique eligible ratings, and which have a high score for their condition, making them suitable for the entire year.

So, if you are looking for somewhere different to play this winter, a venue that comes Highly Recommended, we have found them for you!

And - don't forget - if you want to secure a precious winter tee time, check out the Golfshake Tee Time Search Tool!
