What the club says: World renowned golf course architect Rees Jones has successfully blended 18 strategically contoured holes into the surrounding countryside.
A relative rarity in Britain, the course has been designed in a modern American parkland style, and specifically as a potential venue for international golf tournaments.

Very expensive although that's the last thing on your mind once your playing, a great course and a design to rival all others. The par 5 17th is the feature hole here and is far to tempting not to go for it over the water. The greens are as true as you'll play in this country. If you feel like treating yourself once in a while this is it !! - Jun 14 2011

Golf Course Reviews for The Oxfordshire Golf, Hotel & Spa
Visited as a group of 4. The course was superb. Very good design with loads of really interesting holes.
The hotel was ok - typical corporate hotel. Rooms fine.
Dinner was poor and breakfast awful. Why "decent" hotels have to serve truly horrible breakfast buffets always beats me
Played on a Sunday afternoon in a 2 ball. The pace was glacial particularly front 9 with waits on tee of 10 - 15 minutes and frankly there were a number of players who have no place on a course particularly one that can be as challenging as this. Having played through a few groups on Front 9 we were able to get round in just over 4hrs.
Layout is interesting particularly the Par 3s and 5s albeit the Yellow tees take some of the hazards more out of play. Course condition was OK - not I imagine what it used to be back in the day. In particular there were lots of divots in fairways indicating heavy use, a number of the bunkers were bare and the greens slower and bumpier than I was expecting. Perhaps this is result of the wet winter. Although It was good that no sense of course itself being damp despite a lot of rain yesterday.
Was still value for money getting a £30 twilight deal on teeofftimes but not sure Id have been happy spending more unless could guarantee a better pace of play.
With the snow in recent weeks followed by the rain almost every day since it was heavy going.

This course was better than I had expected, the greens were excellent for MArch and the course had some really interesting holes. The problem is its always very windy and it does make it all feel a bit tiring. Plus the food afterwards was very average
