UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT SINCE APRIL 2021.
Set in some of Oxfordshire's most beautiful unspoilt and peaceful countryside, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, Waterstock Golf Club is situated to the east of Oxford with direct access from the M40 via Junction 8 or 8a, on the A418. The Design Architect employed on our 18 hole golf course was Donald Steel M.A., a former international golfer and the first architect to have undertaken major work at St. Andrews Golf Course for more than 50 years.

Tee boxes were a bit of a mixed bag, but not terrible. Overall the Course itself is not bad, Greens were in reasonable nick. No real standout holes apart from the Par 3 17th, which I found to be an excellent design. The one area that let's it down is the welcome received.There was zero understanding of customer care and a total miserable attitude. In spite of the Course being fine and decent value for money, I would not personally return to such a place where the understanding of how to treat people and good manners cost nothing. Played golf for 45 years and played all over the UK and abroad.

Must play

A great challenging course, fairways and greens in great condition, quite a good variety of holes. The facilities are not very good , the staff are friendly but just needs a decent bar and catering !

Course condition much better than I have experienced before. Tee boxes now look like they are actually cared for. Greens also better, but suffering from flying ant damage. A long coursewhich is a bit daunting as a relativly high handicap player. Good challenge nevertheless.

Good course

Played well. Bit boggy in areas but overall good. Greens were good. Tees were temp tees but ok
Fairway was ok. Could do with a cut but weather hasn't been great

For an average golfer

This is a forgiving course with wide fairways and no water. I love this course and know it well. It has some challenges but not enough to put a novice off.
