What The Club Says
The Seve Masters course at The Shire London is laid out like few other golf courses in the world. There are six par 5s, six par 4s and six par 3s, and on both the front 9 and the back 9, no two consecutive holes are the same par, with equal numbers of par 3s, 4s and 5s. This gives maximum variety, and maximum enjoyment - a core philosophy of Seve's designs.

SG Game
Well designed course, with water on 9 holes to trap wayward shorts. Greens were in very good and consistent condition. Very friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

What a let down
2 of us played today and although we had been informed that work had been done on the greens 2 weeks ago we were not told that they had been top dressed again this morning which made it near impossible to putt.We also received a text this morning explaining that the course would be carry only. Once we arrived and played the first hole it was clear that the water on the course had been there for weeks and ‘carry only’ was not brought in that morning. (We spent over £400 in the pro shop on new shoes, carrying bags and more
I have raised these issues with the club and been shot down saying that we were informed and that this is just something that happens.
I’m extremely dissatisfied with not only the condition of the course but how we have been treated since raising our concerns.
Poor service
Scruffy course
Bad communication
I will definitely not be returning or recommending this course to anyone.

Course is in great condition!
Course was in great condition, and the greens are fantastic. I have to say that personally it's not one of my favourite courses to play, and has some gimmicky holes (1 and 18), I don't line the power lines over the 4th etc, but they always keep the Tees, fairways and greens in great condition.Reviewer Rating

A challenge!
Finally got to play the Shire today! What a day to play it. It was brutally hot. Absolutely loved the course. A tough, challenging layout with severe slopes on the greens. Plenty of par 3s surrounded by water. As much as I loved the course, I was a bit disappointed with the clubhouse, pro shop & driving range. The food was very nice & staff all very welcoming.Reviewer Rating

Disappointed
For a course that cost ?100 to play, it's not in a great condition. The fairways are littered with divot marks that people haven't repaired, with one fairway having more sand in the holes than any of the bunkers on the course.
The bunkers were almost unplayable, as they were rock hard

Not worth paying the green fees at the moment for this course. Played on this course yesterday and still plenty of green and fairway preparation required. Probably needs another month before course is up to cratch.Reviewer Rating
