Very enjoyable!
Beautiful course, good flow the 9th was a bit challenging for me. Cosy club house, good choice of drinks at a very fair price. Had a nice chat with Brendon and Chris from the bar. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I had a lovely burger and my friend had the soup of the day, tomato soup, which I had to try and truly enjoyed. Got the pleasure of saying hi to the two wonderful chefs, George and Noah who are very skilled, passionate and polite. I am considering a membership and will be returning for the course, food and drinks. Young, skinny guy with unpleasant face in pro shop did not pay any attention when I walked in and kept playing with his phone. He was the only thing that let the club down. Thank you OFM!Reviewer Rating

The greens on the first 9 were some of the worst I have played this year. They has been sanded and looked diseased. Bobbly and did not run true. Fairways were scruffy, grass was too long. Loads and loads of trackmarks from what looked like heavy machinery. Although I did not go in one, the bunkers are filled with builders sand. Poor asthetic and performance.
It is a real shame as I love the course. I have played it many a time, but after a long break this was shockingly bad.
The layout is great. Front 9 more interesting than the back nine. Lots of gorse etc. Fairways strategically narrow in many places so there is a real choice over weather to hit driver. Green complexes are all interesting. Some undulating, some sloped back to front, some front to back. A real challenge to get it to stick - especially with the firmness of the greens. Take one club more and 3/4 swing to run it on would be my general advice. Interestingly, I feel the par 4's to be the real strength of the course. Par 3's and 5's largely forgettable.
Note - Hole 11 is very much out of place and it feels very disjointed - is this an alteration ?
In summary - I commend the club for keeping green fees low, although I would prefer to pay 'slightly' more if it meant the fundamental issues were sorted out. Sort out the conditioning and this would be a very fine course.

Nice course
Very enjoyable course to play despite a lot of standing water and very soggy patches. Greens in good condition but bunkers more like ground under repair! Very attractive outlook from many tee boxes - a definite “one to play”Staff excellent - very friendly and efficient

Badly let down
Great layout, interesting holes, very good green and fairways and rough. the clubhouse and Pro shop are excellent and friendly. It is such a shame that there are so many well placed bunkers that are almost all close to GUR. The bunkers are a mix of wet builders sand and stones. I think the majority are GUR and it is a shame the management of the club neglect this otherwise excellent course and location.

Nice Course - needs some work!
Well laid out course, some challenging holes. Front 9 in poor condition, fairways very ragged, bunkers compacted sand. Back 9 in better condition. Greens testing, quite undulating and not easty to read. Enjoyed the day, excellent staff - but front 9 needs some attentionReviewer Rating

Parkland course, tough greens
Lots of par 4s, a bit repetitive and the fairways weren't in great condition unfortunately (after a few weeks of rainy weather). Greens are undulating, immaculate, and fast. A tough round(Round played: Nov 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 16.4)

Bit of a shame
The good. Hospitality and staff. Greens were awesome. Nice layout. The bad. Fairways were really poor and bare in places
The ugly. Everything around the poor fairways were basically mud, no grass. Awful.
It a shame because it has makings I think of a wonderful course.

I won't play here again
This is a decent course, but basically not so welcoming to visitors. On the 4th hole I hit my driver into the trees so played a provisional. Found my original ball, hit it out but caught it fat, so I dropped another one and just hit. At this point playing as a single with nobody in front or behind. Out of nowhere one of the ground staff approaches and starts berating me for "practicing" on the course. He then followed me for 4 holes! I just about managed to keep my temper.
By the 10th I caught a foursome of members who seemed to be trying to play the slowest golf ever, I timed them at 12 minutes on 1 green alone. They steadfastly refused to let me play through - I hung back, but I could here them quite happily talking about not letting me through
I've played literally hundreds of courses and nearly always they're welcoming and friendly, but some just want to cling on to their outdated ways.
Spend your money somewhere else in my view, there are plenty in the area

Good society course
Played a society event here. Scores ranged from 21pts to 41pts.Fairly easy walking. Some badly worn sections on fairways but that is not unusual this year. Greens with large difference in level and tricky putts. Works in progress to improve practice facilities.
