What the club says: Kilworth Springs was established in 1993 and overlooks the beautiful Avon Valley in South Leicestershire. The championship course measures 6,718 yards, par 72. Kilworth Springs is a superbly sculptured links style course offering all the best features and facilities for a great days golf. The front nine offers a traditional links challenge, whilst the back nine, with its numerous lakes, adds water to the equation.

Fantastic Course

We only play this course from October to March in there Winter League.
But the course today was in very good order, greens fast and true,
fairway running well.
The Club house is always friendly with great food.
Worth a visit if you have never played there before.

Too punishing

Has returned to the bad old days with its ludicrous second cut of rough meaning that in dry, windy conditions, this course is virtually unplayable for the average handicap golfer.

Great layout, let down badly by the condition of the bunkers, which are full of stones and hard packed. Ignore the reviewer who refers to new eco bunkers - to date, only one has been restructured. The tees are a mess, but let’s return to the rough. To the right of the 12th hole, there is a narrow first cut giving way to a second cut which is now CHEST high. Seriously. Other holes have a second cut which is knee high and extremely thick. It’s totally unnecessary and sucks the enjoyment out of rounds when you see a drive land in the fairway and take a links style bounce into the jungle, never to be seen again.

With investment and sensible greenkeeping this place could be first rate. Alas, it’s starved of cash and set up by low single figure golfers for low single figure golfers.

Good Round despite some course issues.

Good Round despite some course issues. Some of the greens were not good and tee areas were simply awful on nearly every hole. Not the standard I have had in the past here or that I would expect.

A Dry Course!

First round I have played for ages where I haven't had wet feet and the ball hasn't been plugged very other shot. Considering the weather we have been having the course is in excellent condition. The greens have been hollow tyned but were still running well.

Fantastic Winter Golf

Course in great condition, greens super true and super fast. A little damp on the 10th fairway other than that excellent condition for the time of year. A very good golf challenge of fast greens, water hazards ditches and cross wind on the back nine.

Varied and well-drained

It's my home course. It's varied, well-drained and not too difficult for a high handicapper. It's a very open course, so wind, weather & the regularly changed pin positions make it a very varied golfing experience. Communication from the club to its members has been very good and the owners are making some serious investments i.e. new buggies, improved practice facilities and a completely re-vamped driving range which will feature TopTracer. It's also cracking value for money (and currently has no vacancies for new members!)

A fun round with friends

Played at Kilworth with two work colleagues - we are all retired now. A warm dry day, the course is a little exposed so the brisk breeze impacted on some shots.

The tees were a little rough but some were being reseeded. The greens were OK having recently been tined and on the slow side.

It was a fun day out with friends, some good golf from all of us at times.

Greens had been worked

Course is always well maintained, and rarely waterlogged. Greens haf just been worked on so were a bit sandy and had needle tine marks, but still very playable.

Great Course

Great course as ever; Rough has been allowed to grow making it very tough to find balls and play out of if lucky enough to do so!

Lovely course

This was a lovely course to play, the fairways and greens were great, the rough was tough. The only thing to let it down were the bunkers, not much sand and quite stoney
