What the club says: Best Western Plus Ullesthorpe Court Hotel and Golf Club is situated in the heart of England and sits in an enviable location.
The championship length 18-hole golf course with challenging contours and water features and well renowned greens is 6376 yards, par-72. Established in 1976 it looks and feels mature beyond its years.
As you would expect from a championship layout, Ullesthorpe is demanding in length but many tee shots allow you to open your shoulders slightly, before an accurate second shot to ensure you are the right side of the pin. Water hazards feature on 5 holes, watch out also for the disused railway embankment which provides the teeing area for 2 great par 3's. This all leads up to a most beautiful finishing par 5 hole with your 3rd shot played over water to an inviting green.

Good course poor management of speed of play
I have played this course a few times. It isn?t the longest but it requires correct placing. The greens are usually excellent and fast. Sadly pace of play is ridiculous. Last and final round because of this spent at least 10 minutes on the tee waiting for 16 holes for slow players ahead. Sadly as stated a regular issue which is why I won?t use again

Nice course

Good Course some interesting holes
Nice parkland course, well kept and challenging. Interesting use of the Railway bank on three holes. 18th hole makes a stunning finish.

Worth playing
Course was in very good condition considering recent wet weather. Good layout and the greens were in excellent condition & very quick.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 13.1)

Excellent Venue
Excellent course with all greens in superb condition apart from the 2nd green which was the worst on the course but still not too badAll greens are very very tricky with downward slopes in all directions but very interesting
Food was excellent

Well worth a visit
Excellent course with fast challengiing greens

Good course -tough greens
I rarely three putt - except when I come here.It is a nice course with a pretty backdrop of the Leicester countryside.
2 of the toughest par4s ever doglef 6th and the long 468 yard 8th - what a brute.
The 18th is a great par 5 over water. even after a cracking drive you are nowhere near home and dry!
£18 a round - bargain
It'll be even better when the driving range gets built.
Good club house for breakfast to start your round

Slightly overpriced
A good course but not worth ?40 for a Saturday. Probably priced at that to keep it more members exclusive.

Mark Smith
Recently rejoined this superb course and have to congratulate all the staff on it being so friendly with additional praise to the green keepers as the course is in great condition with very challenging greens.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 25.6)

Snowy
Hard to give a 100% accurate summary as the course was covered in light snow & was on winter greens. It's the first time I've played the new layout, but they look to have done a great job on the 1st & 2nd. Being honest the 1st is nowhere near the hole it used to be, but if selling some land for housing saved the course overall, it's a small price to pay.
It's a well laid out course, some holes to make you think, some holes to open your shoulders on, definitely worth a visit.
The hotel is good & the food is excellent.
(Round played: Jan 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 11.6)

Lovely little course and club house
Played as a guest of a long time member and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Some interesting and challenging holes of the type that you just want to play and play again. Particular favourite is the 18th, probably because I should have birdied it, but overall an enjoyable experience. Great hospitality in the club house too.

Tough Greens
Nice course with some interesting holes. Quite a few short par 4's however the greens are pretty well protected by hazards. Greens were lightning quick after a dry spell and as the majority are sloping greens putting was the key.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 95 Handicap: 18)

Warm, welcoming with a nice course

A real challenge
water hazards, trees, ditches, long rough, excellently prepared course, but very tough(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 111 Handicap: 25.9)

Nice course
Like the new layout. The real test on this course are the greens. No overly tough holes but the par 3 ninth is a brute at nearly 200 yards today.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 13.9)
