An established heathland course with over 100 years of history which is located in the stunning Isle of Purbeck. The course offers a challenging game of golf with fantastic views over Dorset. The course is on the edge of Wareham Forest, and has superb views over the Purbeck Hills, Poole Harbour and Corfe Castle.

Wareham golf course
Looking at getting a membership here now. I've played this course as a guest and I absolutely love it. They have a pro shop a lovely bar with great food and very friendly staff, you can have buggies to o around the course. The driving range or warm up area is just 2 nets and three is a putting green too for practicing.Reviewer Rating

Good Test
Greens in excellent condition but due to very dry weather, some of the fairways are struggling. Hence very bare in places. Lots of work on bunkers taking place.Overall a good course to play and very friendly staff.

The course starts off fairly gently but as you move out into the countryside the layout is pretty hilly so you need to be fairly fit. Staff are really helpful and the catering definitely worth staying for.

A good testing course
With weather as it has been the course is very dry so if you hit a good tee shot it will get considerable distance. Therefore adapting your club selection is key.Greens quick needless to say but in fantastic condition.
Lots of varied holes.

It?s been better?
Fairways a bit scratchy and greens and run offs bald so showing wear and tear at this time of the year (September). Challenging course with a stark contrast between front and back 9?s. Keep it in play you will score - just off fairways you're hunting! Friendly club, good Hole 19.Reviewer Rating

Super Course
Greens in fine form and very consistent to putt on.Always good to see a course having work carried out to improve going forward.
Fairways a little long in places but to cope with present weather is very difficult.
Some of the bunkers are requiring new sand, bunker to the left of hole two in particular.
Always a friendly welcome.
