Twelve quid for 18holes of golf on a bright sunny winters day what great value for money. The course was in good condition considering all the recent rain and dont think its a sinch just because it is a par 69 there are some tricky elevated greens to reach and a coulpe of hills to climb which makes for an interesting round.

Course was in decent nick considering the recent bad weather. Excellent value for £20 and in the conditions a testing round of golf.busier than expected but still managed to get round in about 3 hours and before the gloom set in. Carded a decent score and will certainly play again as there is plenty of scope for risk and reward and some very interesting holes. Big up to the ground staff for making it very playable at this time of year with no temp.greens.

Great value at £17 for a twilight round. Not to busy and the rain held off ! Course in excellent nick considering recent rain. Always a good test of golf especially in blustery conditions. All in all very enjoyable.

Friendly welcome and very good value. First several holes are the standard up and down fare but the second half of the course is great and worthy of a greater green fee. Would definitely play again but the greens could be a little quicker. Old fashioned club house.

A good course with very reasonable green fees. Not a long course but very challenging. Looking at old reviews it looks like they have tidies the course up and worked on the bunkers.
Excellent Food, and a good choice of beers for after the golf.
Overall, well impressed considering the proce paid.

Wareham Golf Clubis situated just inside the Jurassic Coast Nationa Park and is well worth a visit, the course was in great condition considering all the rain we have had.The welcome was warm and the course quiet and a good test for any handicap without being too punishing if you are a bit wayward.

Picturesque course, lovely greens & very welcoming

A tight course with many blind tee shots followed by approaches that are often in to relatively small greens & when those greens aren't small they are multi-tiered.The putting surfaces were excellent & very receptive for the time of year.
The stroke index 1, 12th hole is the most memorable of a good selection.
The members that we encountered on the course were very friendly as were the staff in both the clubhouse & the pro shop.
The choice, quality & value for money of the catering was excellent.
Already looking forward to a return visit & the chance to post a score that I'm not embarrassed to share ;-)

Wareham golf Club and its struggle

It has been a struggle to create the usual superb golf coarse this year due to last summers hot good weather that burnt off the grass and encouraged the leather backs that ate the roots aswell as the rain that fell through January until March that just washed away any opportunity of the growth of grass, but the ground staff have worked so hard over the last couple of months, you can see the coarse improving every day. The Greens have been excellent all this season due to the hard work of the green keepers, they have just undergone green maintanance and are already brilliant to play on.

After all of the recent rain we were expecting the course to be heavy with slow greens, but what a pleasant surprise was in store the fairways had drained well and the greens were in great condition. Obviously there was not a lot of run but that was to be expected but you could fire the ball at the flag and make it stick. Well worth a visit if you are in the area this winter.

Lovely quirky course on the isle of purbeck, course in good condition and very interesting with great views over to poole and bournemouth. A new pro shop has added to the already friendly and smart catering facility.

When we arrived we found an immediate very friendly reception by all the members and management. One member without asking giving me his course guide (thank you whever you were).
Although it had been raining all night the course wasn't really that wet .. although you had to repair ginormous divots made by your ball on the greens .. the rain had made them very soft.
There were some nice holes .. not too difficult really but quite enjoyable. We'll surely come back on our next visit to England.
I heard afterwards that there is only one greenkeeper for the course .. so I have to congratulate him on his work. My home club in Holland has 6 and the course is in no better (probably worse) condition.
Just one funny thing .. the ladies red tee on hole 11 is longer than the mens yellow and in a more difficult position .. (got a birdie on that one )
Read comments about tight holes ... you should come to my home course Brunssummerheide for some tight holes
Shot an 88 (handicap 16.8) on a wet course so left quite happy with the score too.
See you next time we're over.

The course played very well and should be very good when the summer arrives, The greens needed a cut but because of the wet weather it is totally understandable that they are a little long hopefully they will be in tip top condition soon. Nice club house and very friendly staff the food is well worth trying too.

First round for over a month so a bit rusty to start.Course in excellent condition considering the weather we have endured recently. At £17 it's a real bargain. Was surprisingly busy for a Thursday afternoon, can only think people getting out before the large storms forecast for this area in next few days ! Anyhow managed to keep a good steady pace and were untroubled for the whole round. Will certainly play again.Congratulations to all the staff for making the course very playable and for being so friendly.
