What the club says: The course has remained virtually unchanged since its design 106 years ago which is testament to the skilled design ability of Aber who looked upon The Addington as his finest creation. Like many great courses The Addington has the advantage of an ideal site. The fairways wander through mature pine and birch trees which create a real feeling of intimacy, yet the course still affords expansive views of the metropolis from hilltop tees like that at the 14th & 16th.

Ranked in Golf World’s Top 100 Courses, Great Britain and Ireland and undeniably one of the finest courses in the South East, The Addington provides a true test of golf which continuously challenges and one that you will never tire of.

For those wishing to take up premium golf membership and join an established, traditional golf club, we offer options for both Individual and Corporate membership. Who knows, your name may even join the Honours Board alongside that of King George VI!

Crystal Palace's towering mast looms in the foreground, while the NatWest Tower, Canary Wharf and the 'Shard' provide a marvellous contrast to the rich woodland.

Definitely a thinkers course, plenty of thick heather awaits any errant shots on a few blind holes. Greens are amazing, very soft ,so no forward . Trust distances to flag and enjoy.

Lovely course, lots of bridges

Great course in fantastic condition. Greens were lightning quick. An enjoyable day and great food in the clubhouse afterwards. Would definitely like to play again, especially now I have a little bit of course knowledge.

Excellent course design

Fabulous course. Each hole seems to be a very different challenge. It's not a big hitters course but one that requires thought and accuracy. Loved it.

A real challenge

A very tough course.
Hard fairways and very fast greens.
Very hard to get approach shots close which can put pressure on your short game. Frustrating at times but you have to accept it as a challenge.
It was a bit disappointing that there were no practise facilities apart from the putting green. The practice nets were being refurbished. However well worth a visit

Every shot needs thought,

Over the winter a massive amount of work has been carried out and consequently the course has looked tired. If you played here in early spring you would have thought that it was a cleverly designed course but rundown. However a few weeks of good weather has transformed the course and it now looks and plays like the top course it is. It's not long but there are very few shots that do not require accuracy while the tee boxes, greens and approaches are stunning. If you have a good round (stay straight) you will think that the course is not too difficult but you will be punished for going off-line. Six Par 3's add to the challenge (ranging from 120 -225) of being accurate. The greens require a special mention as they are fast but true, enjoy,

I have played the course 4 times previously. In my opinion it is the best course within 5 miles of where I live in Croydon. I thought the ?35 offer was an extremely good deal and value for money. The previous occasions I have played have all been in the summer. I found the course easier with the wetter conditions but obviously not in as good a condition as I remember. However the greens were very good.

All year rounder

Played very well in January before the snow, where most the clay courses are closed with a bit of drizzle The Add drains well pro shop says because on gravel base. Greens superb and impressive course layout with no two holes the same. Will be keen to return in the summer and worth the fees if your a proper golfer.

Very nice course

Greens very fast and difficult to read. Ground hard so difficult to lace ball. But some very attractive holes and the course requires you to think about your shots. Need a shot saver if never played before - blind holes.

Beautifl setting, pity about the condition of the fairways.

I have not played at 'The Addington' for a number of years and although it has wonderful settings for a great golf course I found the condition of the fairways disappointing. This may have been as a result of the summer we have had but other courses I have played recently are in better condition.

She needs a bit of a refurb. Some lovely holes and some plain ones. The club house is looking quite tired. Not worth the 80 quid green fee.
