Unfortunately this course in living on past reputation they did a lot to the entrance and car park but neglected the course a big disappointment the course is in a shocking state

Arrived and there was no electricity so no food or drink or lighting. the course was in very poor condition and the greens were bare in some areas.

We were told that we would be playing off temporary tees, which were described as being of the highest quality, but other than that the course was playing well. Totally misled! The greens are dreadful and in general are suffering from Fusarium patch disease,water logged, early holes on the course are a quagmire. The issues were raised back at reception, but it's better than x,y and z. Not what I want to hear. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND MORE IMPORTANTLY YOUR PRECIOUS TIME !

This was once known to be a top 100 course in the UK but it is far from being there at the moment it is living on past glories and has a long way to go if ever it gets back into the top 100 the course is very scrappy in the main especially for what they are charging for membership and green fees, they should bring the course up to standard if they want to charge these ridiculous fees.Reviewer Rating

Beautifl setting,pity about the condition of the fairways.
I have not played at 'The Addington' for a number of years and although it has wonderful settings for a great golf course I found the condition of the fairways disappointing. This may have been as a result of the summer we have had but other courses I have played recently are in better condition.Reviewer Rating

Played on the 18th of Nov and have to say I won't be returning anytime soon they have major works on around 7 holes and playing on some of the worst mats you can imagine. The greens were tired and none were flat and had bumps and bald patches. For the money they charge add to it and visit the london club.

Booked with Teeofftime but only got to tee off 30min later because they over booked the course. They needed to have someone going around moving play on as the total round took over 4hrs.

Revamping
Addington is a quality course which is being taken back to its original design. Lots of work going on but when it is done it will be superb.The course is challenging and hilly so expect a good walk. Great views of London and surrounding areas.
The staff are very friendly and there is a well stocked pro shop and the food is good.

Good Condition
New Car Park Area and Entrance makes a difference on arrival. Easy to use practice area with new nets. Practice green was in excellent condition.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 14.6)

Nice course but overpriced green fees
This is a very attractive course to play and testing too. Some beautiful holes once you get into the round. However, Clubhouse is dated and the green fees are overpriced. Also, the course struggles in places with drainage in the winter.Reviewer Rating

Old established club with nice clubhouse, Pro shop and facilities. Course is set in woodland but is fairly open in play. Greens had just been hollow tined and sanded so were virtually unplayable but apart form this course was a 7 out of 10. Greens were a 2!!

Excellent condition.
Punishing rough off the fairway.
Lots of blind-shots - not course plan on tees made it a difficult shot choice playing first time.

A tough course for high handicaps
I was very excited to play this course, especially when we managed to get a great deal, as normal green fee is around ?125 ... there is a lot of work ongoing, but the course/greens are in a great condition. However, being a high handicaper it was very tough and the greens fast too. My only compliant was the lack of signage for the next hole. Club house and bar was very nice and welcoming.Reviewer Rating

A very tough course to walk. Great challenge to play. Lovely to see a half way house open and selling beer. Lower marks on some categories only due to the course undergoing a huge makeover.

Hadn't played here for a couple of years. Doing a huge amount of work at present taking out several mature trees and clearing out areas underneath them so less lost balls etc. Reduced green fee as a result which was good. Didn't affect playability of the course though which was still in good condition. Still an excellent challenge and well worth playing if you get the chance. Nice half way hut too.
