What the club says: ADMIRALS COURSE - 6754 yds. Par 73
Our 18 hole course, named after Admiral Sherbrooke V.C., consists of rolling, undulating Heathland terrain. Recently redesigned by Mackenzie & Ebert ( Turnberry,Port Rush etc).17 of the 18 holes have been completed as part of the re-design with the final hole due to start work winter 2018.
COMMANDERS COURSE - 5433 yds
Our 9 hole course, named after Commander Mortensen, is a championship length course of 5433yds with a par of 68. Designed with 9 greens and 2 sets of tees enabling the golfer to play the course as an 18 hole course. The 2nd set of tees offer the golfer a totally different challenge on the back 9 holes. The layout has also be changed by Mackenzie & Ebert in 2017
What Golfshake says: Admirals - A very links feel about it, not long with ball posistion being key for a good score.

Very busy today but course in good condition considering the recent rain. Slow play today which is unusual.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 111 Handicap: 22.8)

1 of the areas best
Every holes is picture perfect, and immaculately kept. Fairways are well guarded by some very well placed bunkers. Greens are well tended , and flags placed in challenging positions.Plenty of practice facilities including driving range, greens and chipping area.
Enjoyed our game thoroughly and will definitely be returning.

Oakmere Commanders course
Only nine holes but with two sets of tee areas.Very good layout and fairly well looked after. Different flag positions giving a different putting challenge each time you go.

Underated Course
Great challenge for all abilities. Beware the hill climb on the 9th and after the 16th though. They are brutes especially for the less mobile golfer. Not a fan of the 8th ..too short....9th...too hilly..and 10th..too blind a second shot. Still well worth a visit though and will return. Very reasonably priced abdguys in the pro shop are very friendly too.

Excellent value

Nice layout, good facilities
Having played just about every course in the local area, we decided to give this one a try for ?20 and we were not disappointed. Facilities are great with a range, good pro shop and a halfway house doing hot and cold food and drinks. The Admirals Course was absolutely fine for ?20 and although two or three of the early holes were a bit straight up and down, there were enough holes which needed some thought to keep the round interesting. The first hole tee off is a peach for anyone not having played it, looks very daunting but in reality is an easy ish dog leg. We will return for a society day if the packages are competitive with other good local options.

Very nice course

Great Course
Great course with lots of challenging holes , the 1st hole is a great way to start the round(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.9)

Wet nice course

Excellent course
Drains well and some challenging holes to be played

A good course at a good price.
Played Oakmere as it was said to be a good draining course and most of my local courses are waterlogged. Wasn't disappointed as the Commanders course was in good condition with decent fairways and greens. Worth travelling the extra distance for a decent game at a very reasonable price.

Unbelievable winter course
Think it was the only course open in the county due to severe floods and still had run on the fairways, no pools of water except in bunkers, greens still good, unbelievable how dry it was!!!

Hills are a killer
Hot day was lovely but hard work up and down them hills.. good course though.. will play again(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 20.2)

Excellent course
The improvements made over the last couple of years have made this course even better. Par 3's are all varied, keep your drives straight you can make good score here, wander and you in trouble. Amenities are very good, staff friendly.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 13.6)

Excellent All Round
The course is in excellent condition and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Pace of play was slightly slower than expected but this was due to several 4 balls ahead of us as a 2 ball.
