Thought the course was excellent and well maintained. I think it is a victim of its own success as it was very busy which did slow down the pace of play. Generally great.

A saviour in winter & a joy in summer
While so many courses near London suffer drainage issues due to London clay that's not an issue here & the course is a favourite when it's sodden elsewhere. We found the fairways to be hard & greens well watered. There was plenty of fluffy grass around to around both which was pleasing. A good variety of holes including an island green. Much to enjoy. Nice to have an Indian restaurant as the 19th which served good food & beer. Much to look forward to should you chose to play here.Reviewer Rating

First time I've played at Toot Hill.Stunning course, has a few challenging holes, the fairways were in good condition, and Oh My Days, the Greens were absolutely Amazing ( well done green-keepers).

Society Meet Up at Toot Hill

Nice course - worth a visit
Although isolated parts of the course were very wet and muddy in places the greens were in good condition. Fairways mostly in good condition. The weather did not help - some greens became flooded! But a nicely laid out course with some challenging holes.Reviewer Rating

I first played this course in 2015 & was blown away how good it is & it still doesn't disappoint. This is the best pay & play in Essex, with great tee boxes, fairways & greens. Congratulations to the green staff for doing a fantastic job in all seasons, winter or summer always in brilliant condition. The staff are friendly & happy to help, we had bacon roll & coffee in the green fee ?35 (bargain) in the pantry, which is a lovely place to end your round, haven't used the Indian restaurant yet, but I look great from the outside. Superb conditions for winter. Despite puddles on the roads around no sign of mud on or off the course & leaves had been cleared. Greens were properly quick as you’d expect in summer & fairways very good considering the moisture & wetness of the ground around. Definitely added to your score missing them as so hard to hit out of the soaked rough. Definitely my winter go to course. A free bacon roll with the green fee went down very well too!

Good fun pay and play course
Good fun course to play with a great mix of holes including some short par 4s and more testing longer holes to keep you honest.Greens were soft but rolling well considering the recent rain. The pay and play concept works well especially if you are happy playing outside of Fri-Sun and avoid the mornings. We didn’t try the Pantry Cafe but I heard good things about it from some fellow players.
Well worth a round here.
