first time i have played here and really impressed with the course - greens are rapid but true
i think its one of the best course in essex and its very reasonable price for a twilight round

8 of us played here on a winter warmer deal and we had a great day. Course in great condition. Food very nice and staff all very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Wow perfect greens!! After quite a lot of heavy rainfall the rough was quite wet as expected but the fairways were good and greens superb, great roll with good pace (played worse in the summer at some places!) I've played this course a few times the only thing that lets it down is the not so welcome chap in the pro shop. Grumpy to say the least. Example:- a couple of mates and myself turned up at 7:45 with a tee of 8:04. The place was deserted but he made us wait until exactly 8:04!! Seriously what is the point!

very attractive clubhouse and water feature as you drive in. Friendly welcome from shop and starter. Putting green and range next to the first tee. Set in a lush valley, plenty of contour despite being obviously converted farmland, with some nice views. Definitely one of the best conditioned courses I have played this year, greens especially. Good attention to detail, all yardages clear. One of the few courses that understands rough should be high enough to punish, and low enough to find. Only two, very minor negatives. No distance markers on the flags, which is odd for a course that is run so well, and the back nine is a little squeezed in, it's not a particularly big overall acreage and it's a tad short for a single figure off the yellow, especially the par 3's.
It doesn't quite have the grandeur to be quite as high in the ratings as it is, but they do superbly with the land they have and when you factor in the low price and location, this deserves your business.

Beautiful course in very good condition. Very picturesque course - especially the island green. It can be challenging in some areas as it can be quite narrow on some holes.

I tried to click excellent twice.I had heard lots of good things about this course. Pretty much the only one locally to me I hadn't played before so I was expecting a lot. It didn't disappoint.
Tee boxes flat. Fairways lush. Bunker has proper sand and a decent amount. Greens were the best I had played for a while. No pitchmarks. True, fast and testing. All in all a proper golfing experience and cant wait to go back ASAP.
