My fav course in essex by a million miles.
Greens are supurb and the condition of the course is first class.
the rough was very testing and it was reflected in all our scores today.

Played as a winter special for £25 which included an excellent lunch. Course was in good shape, greens were excellent, its possible to score very well round here, the par 5's are all quite short and the par 3's are not too testing.
Overall a nice course, good fun and cosy little clubhouse and bar.

Shockingly slow.
Played this morning, Sunday at 9:10, 4 balls in front and behind as expected on a glorious Sunday morning. Course was in pretty good condition, although it bugs the life out of me the amount it costs to play most places these days and they refuse to fill the bunkers with sand.The speed of play was my biggest angst tho, 5:10 to get round as a 3 ball. Waiting on every shot from about the 4th hole onwards. We counted 8 groups across 3 holes at one stage and absolutely nothing was done by anyone on the course to speed things along.
Such a shame because I do really like the golf course, but it seems like once you’ve paid your green fee, that’s it. No care given to how play is actually going out on the course. I’d expect better.

The course was very slow,tee boxes were not in good condition and the greens had been spiked,the fairways were ok considering the time of year,and the bunkers were not really playable.

Despite the wet conditions underfoot, there wasn’t too much mud around & only evident away from the fairways. The greens were excellent too. And no temporary tees.

Lovely Course
Always in great condition.Practice facilities are quite basic and no clubhouse is a bit of a negative, but in terms of a course to play on, when comparing to other courses around the same price bracket in and around Essex, this is still the best one.
