Five Tear Return
It had been 5 years since I played this course. I wasn't sure what to expect but the course maintained the same challenge as I had remembered. Still a great layout but the M25 road noise was ever present. It didn't spoil the round as the course has some great holes, especially the par 3?s. Like many courses now however the investment just isn't there in the back up facility?s. I couldn't even buy a pencil in the pro shop! It seems the only thing that has improved is the deer population.Reviewer Rating

Return to familiar ground
The course seems to be a popular venue but this have it's effect on the condition of the course because of the enormous traffic on the course the greens were very bumpy and a lot of the surrounds was very bear and the bunkers could definitely do with some sand, this said the deer on the course was a pleasant sight although they can cause a bit of damage to the greens and bunkers(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 87 Handicap: 11.6)

Hidden gem!
I booked a pre-paid 3 ball, tee off time just before midday on a Sunday, 18GBP per player so was not expecting too much for that price. I had not played the course before even though its only around a 15 min drive from where i live. The course is on the corner of the A12 and M25, but you would never know it (apart from a couple of holes that are near the motorway) there is a very nice club house that is an old barn mostly used for weddings and groups i suspect as its huge. There was a nice spike bar for a pre-round breakfast and post round pint with a nice decking area outside over looking the course.
The course itself was in very good condition, some of the best bunkers i have played and decent greens that were playing somewhat slow, but we had had some heavy rain in recent days. There are some nice holes with some challenging par 3's.
Typical park land course with plenty of tree's, but if you do go into the trees then you had a good chance of always finding your ball as the rough was kept manageable. The course is well laid out with good signs to the next tee box's as some of the tee's are a short walk from the previous green.
The stand out thing was the large amount of wild roaming deer on the course, you would have thought you were in the new forest not just off the M25!
The pace of play was excellent and we were not held up once even though there were a fair amount of players ahead of us, we completed the 18 in just over 3 hours 45 mins.
Overall both myself and my playing partners were very impressed and will definitely return, i suspect though that it will be a summer venue for us as the morning seems pretty full with members and societies, so getting an earlier tee time on a weekend for pay and play may be a struggle

Good value
Played in good weather. Started on the 10th, fairways and greens in good condition, bunkers still wet from previous day's rain but playable. Very friendly club and already booked for next week.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Nice course and we?ll laid out. Start is a bit dull, but gets more interesting as you get past the first couple. Well maintained, despite the deer ????.Reviewer Rating

Well kept
Played today, was amazed course in very good condition, even after all the rain lately, fairways were cut and greens were very good. Really thought it would be muddy, but fairways firm. Excellent course set out and some very good challenging holes. Would play here again. Oh and forgot to mention only ?10.00 each for four ball on a Sunday. Great value.Reviewer Rating
