Great condition
Brentwood is a nice layout with a good mix of challenging holes and others which offer birdie chances. It was in great condition when we played, and the greens were superb.Reviewer Rating

Massive improvement
Playing Brentwood recently in winter ???? there has been non stop rain.but the course has held up so well considering.
Huge improvements with the bunkers,
Greens were rolling very well considering
No trolleys allowed on fairways but it’s simply to protect the course unfortunately not everyone respects that.
Generally tho you can see the huge improvements on the course.
Some areas wet but it’s winter and non stop rain. Very challenging

Open parkland course
Open parkland course. With undulating fairways, two-tier greens and some super 'driving' holes with some holes guarded by water hazards so course management comes into play. Fairways, bunkers & greens were in good condition for winter. Practise putting green & driving nets.Over the past 10 years Improving every year the greens & fairways. The bunkers are OK could be better.
Lots of ground work, drainage & buggy paths has been done over the pass 10 years.
Overall a good course

Very good greens
As all courses around London are currently, Brentwood was absolutely sodden this week. However, given that, the greens were in great condition and the club is always welcoming.Reviewer Rating

Nice course shame about the bunkers
Nice course with some interesting holes but the bunkers are a shambles - most should be GUR as there is mud in them rather than sand! Also if you want to be a member who just wants a casual round of golf at the weekends don't bother as there are always competitions taking up whole days etc!Reviewer Rating

Great layout
Some well designed holes making you think and having to adapt your game.Clubhouse and practice facilities need updating but the course was nice. The tee boxes were worn and greens were sanded after 6 holes. That was a down point but before we're running fast and well.
Got a great group deal, good food was solid and staff super friendly.

Going downhill
Course ok, greens a bit slow, lots of worm casts, minimal bunker maintenance. Clubhouse v tired and untidy, dirty, feels unhygienic. Christmas decorations still dumped in a box in corner of changing room.Reviewer Rating

Ok course - needs some love soon though
This could be a nice course, the layout and variety of holes are decent but on the occasion we visited it really felt like it needed a bit more love. Greens in decent condition, fairways also not bad considering dry spell but other details felt sub par. Tee boxes were both worn and not always set up to help you navigate the course. 150 yard markers clearly not in the right place (comparing with GPS) and bunkers were below average in terms of sand fill. I'd go as far as to say the green staff should remove some bunkering if helps with cost and maintenance. The course doesn't lend itself to excessive bunkering anyway. Final whinge was about leaves (I know they will some will come down in September) but the weight of poplar trees dispensing with them and no obvious appetite from green staff to gather up did cause un-necessary delay and frustration to some of our group. Come on Brentwood...the only way is up I hope!Reviewer Rating
