What the club says: Benton Hall is a challenging parkland course set amongst natural woodland and rolling countryside. Renowned for its impressive views, each hole represents its own challenge, with the river Blackwater meandering through the course adding to the picture postcard views. After your round of golf, relax in the Clubhouse or on the terrace overlooking the lake with its abundance of wildlife.

Benton Hall
Very nice course very nice staff and facilitys, greens were very good and generally apart from an odd fairway course was in good condition. Very pretty course with a challenging last five holes would join it if it was nearer home.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 77 Handicap: 3.3)

Very nice but challenging course
Enjoyed the course, the back nine is certainly more difficult. Well looked after. The bar and food service was disappointing, 30 minute wait for a sandwich is poor. To be fair the lady warned us but clearly not enough staff. Shame because otherwise a nice set up.

Good course, good clubhouse
Good course, good clubhouse. Great bacon rolls. Course challenging but doable for a semi-regular player like myself(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 131 Handicap: 29)

Tough course

Enjoyed
Good course. Friendly staff and course starters. Enjoyed the round. Some very slow golfers but they were quick to let us through as we came in.
Greens were very bobbly though after a recent treatment to all of them. And overwatered for the day

Great challenging course
This is my club course, it?s in great condition, pins are moved each week and there is a variety of hope designs. If you push or pull the water comes into play, some holes require a bit a shot shaping and some good bunker placement can hit your score hard. A great course, we?ll worth a visit.

Fantastic course, offering a strong test
Been a member at Benton Hall for 4 years now and the course has had a lot of work undertaken to improve the drainage and the clearing of bracken etc. It Is a good test of skill and will improve your game by sticking at it.Lee Cocker the pro is excellent and I would recommend getting some lessons when visiting.

Lovely course
Greens in excellent condition, the course was very busy but play was ok, high handicap players would find some holes daunting but fair

Some tough holes

Tight and tricky
Sharply undulating course with water in play on 12 holes, long penal rough and lots of mature trees. Lots of the holes are dog legs and the back 9 is tougher than the front. Greens are in beautiful condition, bunkers arent bad but could do with more sand. Not a particularly long course but very tight especially the finish. You cant just grab your driver and thrash away on most of the long holes. Putting green is ok but practice nets are rubbish.
