Well maintained, challenging course
The maintenance of tees and greens, particularly around the clubhouse, is fantastic. I had wanted to play here for a number of years but I couldn't stretch to full membership, so finally got to play as a visitor. Plenty of directional challenges. The only downside is it looked like the course is susceptible to flooding as it was still waterlogged in places despite nearly 3 weeks of dry weather. Despite a disastrous round in terms of score, I'm looking forward to going back.Reviewer Rating

Very nice course
Nicely laid out members owned course. All in decent condition with just a few areas of wear. Plenty of water, ditches and dog legs to negotiate makes it a thinking mans course. The fairways Are pretty generous but are usually flanked by trees. The bunkers are well placed to catch you out and several of the greens are small which makes the aim important. Clubhouse is nothing special from the front but is pleasant inside and the catering was excellent.Reviewer Rating

Worth a visit
I have not played the Bentley for 30 years until our society due to Covid had to postpone our 40th anniversary tour due to have been at Carnoustie . We did an Essex tour with our own homes as the base and played The Bentley twice . It is tough to play to your handicap at The Bentley but the challenge is food . The food after was very good both days . Club was friendly .Reviewer Rating
