Great little courseGreat course used to play when i was a kid, a few water additions which add to the tricky nature. Sadly the greens were a bit bumpy, i will definitely play again later in the summer.

Easy but with challengesThis short 4861yd flat course is well kept and has some good water challenges.
Well maintained Council courseThis council owned course is excellent value for money and well looked after. A couple of fairways have been damaged by non-golfers over lockdown but are now looking better. A couple of temporary greens but doesn't take away the enjoyment.

Another lovely round at a very good courseDespite the atrocious weather, the course played really well. There were a couple of temporary greens (7th & 18th) which weren't great but the rest of the course was still of an excellent standard.
There's a lot of building work going on around the 1st tee/18th green but this doesn't impact the round in any way and shows the investment being put into the course.
My only grumble is that the signature 18th green was still not available to play but hopefully it will be back in action soon.
Nice layout but poor condition. This course is a great layout but we encountered 5 temporary greens.
2 were vandalised and 3 recovering we were told. The 3 recovering were all
In playable condition without a doubt. No reduction in green fee either.
Proshop said Brentwood council do do reductions.
My FavoritePlayed Hartwood since i was a kid, still love the beauty of the place. Where else can you hit a 7 iron into a green with a view that is surrounded by trees. Maybe Sunningdale but i would rather play Hartwood for 20 quid.

Great ValueI play the course regularly but tonight I played twilight that cost ?10. Absolute bargain. Course always in good condition and the greens are getting better everytime I play.
Very enjoyable day out.Very good value for money, good challenge from the back tees. Greens are a little on the slow side but expected at a council run course. Some beautiful holes. Great to see investment being spent this does always happen a privately run clubs. Overall a fun challenging layout look forward to returning.
Tough little track!!!Greens and club house and Pro shop really good with great service and value. Tee boxes in poor condition and rock solid, so much so you could not get a tee in most of the time.
For a pay and play, it is a real challenge and interesting.
